Email from CIC that PR card renewal needs secondary review

I've got a question for those who got their cards recently or anyone that could help.

We first receive a message in our inbox telling that something has changed in our timeline or we gotta look for news directly on e-cas?

Hi Matheus,

You have to keep checking the ecas and it will change there. This is what happened to me few days ago. I received it yesterday

Hi, I thought I would add my particular case after the fact. I applied for a renewal in July 2014, request for documents (passport) came January 2015, and the card was sent to me (to the wrong address but retrieved) on October 2016, so 2 years and 3 months total wait. I didn't get an email about secondary review if that is something other than the email requesting more documents.

I am a canadian citizen, so are my two Boys. I like to discuss about My Wife who is a PR from April 2012. and expiration of the PR card is June 2017.

she was out of Canada for 1015 days.
means she was in canada for more then 730 required days.
Out of 1015, she was out of Canada, she stayed with me in my home country,after i become canadian citizens for around 300 days.

should i apply immediately for renewal of PR card from my home country or i should fly with her to apply PR renewal from Canada only. seniors please help take me right steps and oblige. how much time it will take for issuance of new PR card as per present processing delay.

They request the exit/entry records in your case, because you visited the UAE (the UAE have an electronic gate). So try to get only from UAE, if you have a friend, he can have it for you. And send the IRCC the UAE exit/entry records. I think it will be enough. Most of the people are doing this.

I was asked to provide the exit/entry records as well. I contacted CBSA in Canada, they have information only for entries but nothing for exits. I understood airport exits are not registered by CBSA. I contacted Border Services in my home country - they have only records for the last two years. The question how can I provide information to IRCC for my exits from Canada withing a 5-year period, in this case?

5. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on February 9, 2017.

I assume you re so happy and you deserve it. I received mine last week and i know this feeling. I intend to apply for citizenship in the summer, maybe August. Good luck in everything you are doing in your life!

Thank you so much! I checked late last night but there was no update, so I said to myself sigh oh yes same ole, same ole.
And thinking it is Saturday, so I thought to log in to check my timeline and refresh my mind the exact date in July my file sent for sec review and booooom....!... #5!!! It caught me offguard, what a feeling and relieved to say the least.
This forum helps me a lot, there are ups and downs of what we see in here but I was always happy when someone have their card approved.
Really hope you will get yours very soon, keep your fingers crossed and I will keep my fingers crossed for you as well. Thanks for your greetings!
