Guys,

Received an AOR email from CIO as attached on this thread. Submitted the initial Application on April 30 and got CIO reply in Jun 4 thru email. Still haven't got the mail but I am already starting to collect all the documents needed to submit to London Visa Office ASAP.

Have some question regarding RPRF (London visa specific instruction does not indicate what they refer to as Fees while New Delhi already specifies that RPRF fee should be included). To all seniors in the forum, could you please advise if I will include already the RPRF in the full application?

Best Regards,

IDN

Dear Sir:

We have received your application for permanent residence in Canada in the Federal Skilled Worker Class on 1 May 2009.

The Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism issued instructions which were published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008. These instructions specify that only applicants who have an offer of Arranged Employment, applicants who are legally residing in Canada for at least one year as a Temporary Foreign Worker, or an International Student, or applicants who have work experience in certain listed occupations are eligible to be processed in the Federal Skilled Worker class.

We have assessed your declared occupations against the list of eligible occupations identified by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008. Your application is being recommended for further assessment by a visa office. You are therefore requested to submit a full application to the following visa office:

Canadian High Commission

38 Grosvenor Street

London, W1K 4AA

United Kingdom

The Visa Office will make a final determination of your eligibility for processing on the basis of the information and documentation you provide. Any future correspondence should be sent to the visa office. Your reference number is located below the date of this letter. You must quote this reference number in any future correspondence. If you submitted original supporting documents, these are being returned to you by mail as you may be required to submit these with your full application.

This correspondence also acknowledges receipt of your payment dated 14 May 2009 in the amount of 550.00 Canadian dollars. Please keep a copy of this letter for your records and quote this number on all correspondence relating to application fees or refunds.

Submitting your Full Application

Go to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp to download the Federal Skilled Worker guide and application forms.

Your full application must consist of the following:

A copy of this letter with the reference number above
Application for Permanent Residence in Canada [IMM 0008]
Schedule 1: Background/Declaration [IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 1]
Additional Family Information [IMM 5406]
Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] (if applicable)
Schedule 3: Economic Classes [IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 3]
Visa office-specific forms and a list of supporting documents required by the Visa office are available at:
www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled-mission.asp

NOTE: You must inform the visa office of any changes in your application (e.g. birth of a child, marriage, new occupation or employer, etc) when submitting your full application. Please include a letter identifying what the changes are.

You have 120 days from the date of this letter to prepare and submit these forms and supporting documentation. If your full application is not received within this time, we will assume you are no longer interested in immigrating to Canada and we will close your file. Documents must be submitted in a SINGLE package. Do not submit any documents until you have prepared the entire package. We will make a decision on your application on the basis of the documents you provide at that time.

Until the visa office has received your completed application, it will not accept, respond to, or attach to your file any interim correspondence, EXCEPT:

• Change of address, including change of e-mail address;

• Change of immigration representative;

• Request for withdrawal of your application and refund of fees;

• Submission of an Arranged Employment Opinion approved by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada

Once the visa office has received your full application, it will send you an acknowledgement of receipt letter which will inform you of the next steps in the processing of your application.

Thank you for your interest in Canada.

Congratulations. We received our AOR from London Office 3 weeks after submitting our documents to them. So you will be somewhere in that timescale too.
As far as I can gather, the medical request comes about 10 weeks after AOR.

No, I did not pay RPRF yet.
C.I.C normally request it at a later stage in the process.
We sent in documents showing our proof of funds ( bank statements, etc ).
We did not fill in the two forms you mention, to tell the truth I only seen them on a website after we had submitted our supporting documents. I am not sure if they are part of the new process, or if it is I think they only appeared when London upgraded their website which was after we submitted our documents. a lot of the questions on the forms you mentioned are on the original application forms which we downloaded from C.I.C canada.
Dreamchaser also applied to London Office. He may be able to answer your question.

Dear CPA2CANADA
Congratulations. Hope your case becomes finally positive.

Some of the members of this forum also recieved notification to submit full application via email. That is good to process application faster.

But did CIC officially disclose in their website that they would correspond with the applicant via email ? If anybody can reply.

All the best.

If you read the IMM 008 Q. 17 where it says, if you put in your email address, you are authorizing CHC to send information to you that way (paraphrase)

CPA2CANADA, we are on the same boat and I'm also a CPA. I'm also asking if the fees in no. 13 of the visa office specific instructions refer to the RPRF. Unlike the instructions for india, it specifically says 'right of permanent residence fee'. In my instructions, it just says fees:

13. FEE PAYMENT
Consult the Fees section of our Web site or the Guide for Skilled Worker Applicants to calculate your fees. Payment may be made in ....... Payment must be by means of an international money order, certified cheque or bank draft, issued to you within 30 days of the date of your payment to us. It should be made payable to the “Canadian Embassy – ....

It did not say what kind of fees. I'll be watching this thread...

@jtob, i suppose it is the application fee. i will just attach the OR. thanks!

@cpa2canada, i have seen one thread in this forum, started by nzguy, wherein he mentioned submitting his transcript without having it placed in a university-sealed envelope. it was accepted by CIC and he recently got his permanent resident visa.
