EI Quebec affects family sponsorship

Hello guys,

I live in Montreal and recently I applied my EI (not receive benefits yet), I'm going to apply my parents sponsorship this year, so I'm wondering if this EI application affects it? Quebec 's EI policy is same with other provinces?

Ei is employment insurance not social welfare. You can be on Ei while sponsoring because you earned that money. You have all the rights to claim it if you lose your job regardless of the sponsorship.
