Well I don't want to belabour the point but if any Canadian needs consular services in Cairo you can call Tel.: +20 2 2461-2200, the Chief Counsel is alive and well in Cairo...

I never said the consular section handles immigrants applications!

What I said is just that: they do not have a consular here anymore, just embassy, how do I know? Simply from our Canadian coworkers, they ought to write/send/travel to Turkey each time they have something to do that cannot be done online. BTW, this was not the case before 2011, I hope it's clear.

As for the visa office; I never even once saw a CoPR stamped by Cairo, that's why I "think" what they have here are just agents not decision makers to grant of refuse an application.

for the prepaid envelope: do we need to secure that ourselves? any idea how?

your current place of residence. e.g. Inland applicants are all handled by Nova Scotia office or New York office regardless of their nationalities.
You mean the applicants residing in canada

8 months total processing.

Visa officer refused to issue a work permit while the FSW application was pending, despite the LMIA and pathway to PR being obvious.

Thank you very much for answering!

Would you please share your timeline? How did you know that your application was being processed by Cairo Visa Office? From your GCMS notes?

So in other ways egyptians staying out of egypt will have all their visas processed in one location or everyone will be processed according to their country of residency?

it's really the same question you ask in multiple ways :)

UAE resident Egyptians for example are processed either in Abu Dhabi or London

those in Egypt processed in Ottawa or London

those in Canada processed in Nova Scotia or new york

those in Nigeria are processed in Accra

those are all I know and came across, one thing to note: ALL ARE EGYPTIANS.

That' s interesting !!! Are you sure about that? So if you are an egyptian living in egypt your file gets processed in london....hmmmm...good news

Regala,

I have two questions please regarding the work experience and the proof of funds.
1- Work Experience: Is any HR letter with the company stamp on it enough? Or does it have to be from the insurance office (Elta2emeenat)?
1- Proof of Funds: I will collect the needed money in my bank account from different people in my family, I understand that I should have a letter from the people I got the money from to prove that the money is a gift, is there a specific template that we should follow when writing this letter?
Also is it ok if the money in my account is in EGP and equals to the recommended ammount of money in CAD?

Thanks a lot,
Kareem
