It really depend on how fast your Meds and BG get cleared. The process afterwords normally won't take more than 30-60 days based on the visa office. Many Egyptians I know got their PPR in an average of 5 months (but still not a role, I know a colleague who is waiting for over 8 months)

First of all you relax and forget about it if you can. You may get updates on MyCIC sooner or later, depending on how your application is moving. 90% of the applicants (not in my case) will get there Medicals passed within a week or 2.. Then the Background Check becomes "In Progress" (Also, not in my case). You may be asked to submit additional documents on the way, so keep a close eye on your email and MyCIC account. Depending on which program you applied to, and everything is in order, you should get a Passport Request within 6 months since the date you applied.
That said, CIC are very unpredictable and anything could happen.

Just received my GCMS notes today. Generated on 04/02/2016
FSW Outland, AOR Oct 25th, Medicals Passed and Sch A request Oct 27th, BG not started and no update since then.
The notes don't say too much, the most important one is made on Oct 29th saying R10 OK all police certificates in the application, Educational assessment verified by agency website. All education credentials are consistent with applicant's claims in EE profile.
My application was at CPC-Ottawa and moved to centralized intake office for workload.
Eligibility, Criminality and Security assessment are not started.
Due date 12/02/2016.
Hopefully its a good sign, anybody with previous experience with GCMS notes can provide an insight on that?

i had the same notes when i ordered mine. it basically means you passed the first stage of review, the completeness check! Your application will now be reviewed on technical details. For example, you job reference letters, NOC's, proof of funds, etc. I would say, you still have like another 30-45 days to go!
