Egypt: Investigation on spouse sponsorship

I'm married to a Canadian citizen since 2014. He has made a sponsorship to another girl before we get married but the girl did't optain the pr as he cancelled the sponsorship when the cic asked her to send them her passport to get the visa.
Now my problem is the delay .. he submit to sponsor me on May 2015 and up till now there's no file no# and when he called them several times.. they told him unfortunately your file is under investigation and another time they said it's on hold.
Can any body tell me explanation for my situation .
and I need any help to be with my husband as soon as possible.
Note. I submitted last year to visit him and I got refusal from the embassy ...

It's hard for anyone in this forum to help you unless someone with same experience .

There is nothing can be done , you have to wait for them to finish their investigation .

I know nothing about the divorce. . As he tried to hide from the whole situation from the beginning. All what he said to me is that he cancelled the under taken and cancelled the sponsorship for her .
The girl got a divorce through the court here in Egypt on 2013.
so my question now.. if he really has cancelled the under taken. Should he divorce her too !!
And how long does it take to divorce her !!and how long should he wait to make another sponsorship.. although the girl doesn't obtain the PR AND didn't come to Canada .

This is not a case of Divorce , if the divorce document was need and not provided Immigration could have asked for it or returned the package unprocessed for missing important document .

If CIC isn't convinced that he divorced her before marrying you, then they won't regard your marriage as valid and your application will be refused. He can't get divorced after he married you. This needs to have happened before he married you. He should have provided official documents with the application to prove he is divorced. If he didn't do this, then it's no wonder your application is delayed. You need to have a frank conversation with your husband to find out exactly what happened (i.e. if he officially divorced his first wife before marrying you) and what documentation he submitted with the sponsorship application to prove he is divorced.

Yea that was what I'm thinking about.. that there's something suspicious. .. but we know nothing about the file .. is in process or not or what's the time line for it.
It's now 13 months since he submitted to sponsor me with no clear status for our case...

when the file is sent for investigation in Canada it may take very long .and no one will answer you until its finish .

My husband is suspicious too... he refuses to talk about the whole staff with me /// I searched at the court to find the girl has divorced him here in Egypt in 2013 which means before our marriage by 1 year. So if applied to sposor me then the CIC refused the case as he should give them any documentation to proof that he is divorced the year before he got married to me... will this action could be a solution as not to refuse our file !!!And I need to know if he began the procedure to divorce her from Canada. .. how long does it take to obtain the divorce !!!Something else... Once. I asked him to show me the receipt that he paid for the CIC to sponsor me.. it was written he paid 2400$And I know that it's only 1100$.. I asked him why u pay all of this .. he said it was a delayed payment regarding the last girl (ex.wife)

I don't think you should worry because the most important thing is you guys divorced a year before you got married rather than after, so there won't be any misrepresentation or invalid marriage. He's probably just missing some documentation.

However I'd also be a little concerned about him, since he doesn't seem like a very forthcoming man, and with something as serious as a previous marriage and not even wanting to discuss with his own wife. You should definitely try to talk with him about this issue again. A spouse that likes to hide things is something to worry about.

I agree with mikeymyke, those were my thoughts too. It's important to have this kind of knowledge about your spouse in order to prove a genuine marriage. It's very concerning the person you choose to spend the rest of your life with (in theory, anyways ) doesn't want to share information on his previous relationships.

Also, if you end up with an interview, it's going to look very bad.

Yes, of course there's a difference between for example, your spouse not wanting to share what he would do with his ex girlfriends, versus something like this, where your spouse has details about your PR application's delay and he refuses to share info with you. If he won't even tell you when he got divorced and you had to go as far as searching the divorce database yourself, then this is a bit concerning to me.

Sorry to hear that. Shouldn't be that difficult to reach your own husband even with the timezone difference, and also you have internet, it shouldn't be hard to communicate with him at all.

You really need to get to the bottom of this. And don't think that it's none of your business, you have the right to know about his previous marriage since you're his current wife and you're caught in the middle of all this.
