On behalf of my relative!

She just got PR and landed in Canada last month. Unfortunately things didn't work out, and the husband wants to give divorce (no fault divorce). The girl is in Pakistan now after soft landing, her PR card is in process. My question is that will it affect her PR status and will they deliver the PR card if he applied divorce before PRC arrives ?

Thanks

She landed so she's a permanent resident. His three year financial undertaking started when she landed as well and doesn't get cancelled out by the divorce.

Would agree she is a PR but I'm guessing this may have been an arranged marriage and did a short landing and then will get divorced. If they have not spent anytime together the husband may try to report a marriage of convenience and I expect when she tries to apply for citizenship or tries to sponsor another spouse 5 years from now she could face quite a lot of scrutiny of her application.
