Hey, Where can we have to give reason, are they asking the reason in ee application or we have to provide through LOE?I applied spouse non accompanying and the reason I mentioned is CRS points. My spouse and I are both in Canada . I got my PR in Aug 2023 and then sponsored my spouse whose application is in progress
They are asking a reason in EE application. "Please explain why not"Hey, Where can we have to give reason, are they asking the reason in ee application or we have to provide through LOE?
Thanks in advance
Hi,Dear expert members,
I received my ITA on CEC, which I did not include my spouse with my application. Adding her will reduce points and my age is also hitting 42. When I submit my application, I am going to write an explanation letter to the officer the reason why I am not accompanying my spouse. My question is, we have two daughters who are studying at the elementary level here in Canada. How I need to proceed with there application part. Do i need to mention as non accompany or accompany. Please help me to figure this out
Kindly appreciate your help guys!
Hi you can include your kids.Hi,
What did you decide to do, I'm in a similar situation as you...
How soon did you sponsor your spouse after getting your COPR? And what was the processing time for her PR?I applied spouse non accompanying and the reason I mentioned is CRS points. My spouse and I are both in Canada . I got my PR in Aug 2023 and then sponsored my spouse whose application is in progress
This appears to have been in 2024 so I would be much more cautious about this plan thee days since IRCC appears to be cracking down on people doing this.I hope this post helps few in the future for this kind of category. I'm sharing my experiences here:
I got married before submitting my EE profile and I did not include my wife as dependent as it reduced my overall score. It also made my profile ineligible for CEC as my spouse was not in Canada, I chose non-accompanying spouse to complete and submit my CEC profile.
Below is the reason I mentioned after receiving the invitation: *The question where it asked: Please explain why not* after getting the ITA:
-We are not getting enough points as a family to immigrate together, I chose this option to become a permanent resident first and sponsor my wife in the future.
I did not include any LOE or any sorts of additional letter, provided IRCC with the actual truth in that field and my application was approved with regular CEC timeline. My wife moved to Canada with SOWP at first as I had Open work permit and I submitted Inland spousal sponsorship as soon as I got my e-COPR, it was approved with the regular timeline as well.
What are you saying? My wife's application was submitted on Nov. 2024 and it got approved last month of 2025. At least try not to scare others by blaming it on IRCC.This appears to have been in 2024 so I would be much more cautious about this plan thee days since IRCC appears to be cracking down on people doing this.
Have been following some immigration lawyers who are seeing IRCC pushback on this loophole and people are receiving ADRS and believe I also saw a least some PFLs.What are you saying? Profile named iSaidGoodDay have been posting comments all over this forum saying candidates have been scamming IRCC with no integrity and rules by applying for Spousal sponsorship after getting the PR. This is a forum, not a Lawyers community for free advise and he is not a Lawyer. It is up to the individual to decide what to do after checking with Immigration Lawyers.I hope this post helps few in the future for this kind of category. I'm sharing my experiences here:
