EE Profile - Points Unchaged even after upgrade

Hi friends,

Please help me with my EE profile issue.

I received my upgraded WES report recently, which now includes my masters degree.
However, even after entering revised educational credentials; points are still unchanged.

Old ECA report:
1. Bachelor's Degree - Canadian Equivalency ( Bachelor's Degree 4 years)


New ECA report:
1. Bachelor's Degree - Canadian Equivalency ( Bachelor's Degree 4 years)
2. Masters Degree - Canadian Equivalency ( One year of graduate study )

In my EE profile; this is what I've selected -

1. Bachelors Degree
Level of Education : Two or More certificate, diplomas or degrees. One Must be for a program of 3+ years.
Level of Education (Canadian Equivalent) Shown on report : Bachelor's Degree

2. Masters Degree ( 3 year part time )
Level of Education : Two or More certificate, diplomas or degrees. One Must be for a program of 3+ years.
Level of Education (Canadian Equivalent) Shown on report : One year program at University


My current score is 427 & with this upgrade it should reach to 455 (IELTS score is : S7 R8 L8.5 W7.5)
Kindly help me identifying my mistake.

2 observations.

1. What is your overall Canadian equivalency? If it is Bachelors Degree 4 years, you can't use the 'Two or more...' option.

2. Choose 'Bachelors' for your Bachelors degree and 'Two or more...' for the other one. That should work.

It takes a bit of while to update the scores so be patient for a day or so for scores to be updated before you raise a technical query.

However, even after waiting for a day after making changes as suggested by Asivad; my score remains the same.

Should I recreate my EE profile i.e. withdraw EE, job bank profile & drop GCkey & start from scratch ?

I calculated my points from CIC site & break-up is as below -


Age = 99
Level of education = 128
Official Languages = 133
A) Skill transferability factors - Official Language proficiency and education = 50
A)Skill transferability factors - Official Language proficiency and foreign work experience = 50
Grand total = 460


However, on my EE profile, I'm still stuck at 427.

Can I claim 128 points for "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees." ?

What is your overall Canadian equivalency summary? This is what is stated right on top of the 1st page of the report. If it states 'Bachelors', you cannot choose 'Two or more...'.

I've not yet received physical copy of the WES report. I'm referring to the online version which states details as below -

Second Evaluation (original completed on mm/dd/yyyy)

Credential Analysis -
1. Bachelor's Degree ( 4 year full time )
- Canadian Equivalency ( Bachelor's Degree 4 years)

2. Masters Degree ( 3 year part time )
- Canadian Equivalency ( One year of graduate study )
----

So do you mean that i get no points for "One year of graduate study" ?
Also, What is the expected summary in case of "two or more Two or more certificates..." ?

If that's the case, I wont get additional points ( 8 for additional degree + 25 for Skill Transferability factors) & no chance of invite in near future

Unfortunately, you have to choose 'Bachelors' on the basis of this ECA report. You can choose 'Two or more...' only if your ECA report states one of the following.

Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees

ECA assessment results:

A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree

PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), or:

Post-Bachelor's Certificate
Post-Bachelor's Diploma
Graduate Certificate
Postgraduate certificate
Postgraduate Diploma
two-year Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]
one-year Postgraduate Certificate in [name of discipline]
Study Toward a Master's Degree

There is a separate active thread on this and a particular user Sita1987 who was looking for resolution on this as well. Check for that thread or search for this user.

I imagine WES wouldn't change their assessment.

I am also like you . Initially WES evaluation for my Bachelors . and after two months now , evaluated my Masters .
So my upgraded WES says "Bachelors ( 4 yrs) and Master's degree" .Mine is a 2 yr MBA Distant education .

But i wanted to ask you this question

1)In your upgraded report , are you able to see the ECA # as well ? Because mine doesnot have . When i called WES they said the upgrade is not specific to CIC . It is generic one . Only the report specific to CIC will have the ECA # . So they asked me to apply for a duplicate copy for CIC .

2)My report has name issue . Last name is incorrect . i am struggling to get that also corrected from WES .

This is really interesting. Do you mean that WES automatically upgraded the report from "Bachelors ( 4 yrs)" to "Bachelors ( 4 yrs) and Master's degree" ?
Or did you contact them for it ?


Actually, I've not yet received the physical copy of the report. I'm referring to the online version. & yes, it does have ECA Reference number.

Regarding Last name, it should match with your Degree certificate. Is it not matching?

Hi MTB ,

I requested for upgrade last month.
They say that I have requested upgrade which is not specific to CIC . It is general evaluation of my Degree . So now they ask me to order a duplicate report specific to CIC paying some 75$ .

I do remember when I requested the upgrade , I mentioned it is for CIC purpose .

Anyways, my degree is now equivalent to Bachelor's (4 yrs) and Master's degree in Canadian terms. I just need to order the duplicate report for CIC .

Name issue

Usually for Tamil Nadu people , we have name and initials and that's what will be there in degree certificate also . But our passports and other docs have First and Last name . Assume ABC is u r name and u r father name is DEF . Then our degree will be D.ABC

So WES will give report as D(DEF),Abc

But in my report they didn't mention that (DEF) . So I am struggling to get that .. In my case my father name is like DEF GHI (two words in his name) so WES gave me D(DEF),ABC but they should give it as D(DEF GHI),Abc .


Hope I didn't confuse you .

But see my MBA Distant education is considered as Master's in Canada .
