Hi All

OOPNP has posted this statement on their site,"It’s noteworthy that OINP has confirmed introduction of Online application system for its candidates to apply online and reduce the application processing time. This will also help candidates to track status update of their applications, which presently has no transparent tracking what so ever".(From November 2017 notification of interest)

I couldn't find anything relevant to aforementioned lines.

Does anybody have updates on this??

OOPNP is a consultant firm I would take everything they say with a grain of salt. I would personally don't read anything they post.

If you are interested in learning about updates with OINP visit the OINP updates webpage shown below. Anything else mentioned on this forum or on a consultant's webpage are just speculations and might not be true.
http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPNEW.html

The update dated for August 23rd mentions that they started online processing for the Entrepreneur Stream. Although:
"Our ministry is committed to improving its application and business systems. Additional online application systems are being developed over the coming months."

Wow the new cycle invites about 2000 applicants and still the score cut off is 472! I think for people sitting at 450 or around it like me...the chance is very very low...

I'm a student, staying in this country for about 5 years now, paid literally around 100000 $ for tuition fees, filed my taxes for all years and sometimes paid taxes based on my income...yet I have to compete with people who have work contract and/or huge work experience...because they cancelled the PhD student stream...
Moreover, they won't count my work experience in Canada because I was a student at the same time...just completely unfair and disappointing :/

well my question is again the same old one----what are the chances for people with score below 450.....i am at 445.
I know, nobody can tell about it....it all will be a speculation..
actually i want to highlight few things:-
1) OOPNP says that scores will never come below 450
2) IRCC guy said that it can come to 400 levels.....the lot size increasing to 2000 prediction has started to come true....
3) NO idea about re-opening of OINP..... (I guess whole world is waiting for OINP, so what would be ur odds..only god knows)...

Now what to do...... should i start looking for australia (my crs is 445)...or should i patiently wait ... should i go for some higher education route instead of PR...
i am really confused...........can someone give any hope for people sitting between 400-450.....
anyone, who has lately read something or is privy to some development...i mean any source of information can be useful at this moment...!!!!

I think, we all in this bracket have to wait......like in any society....the middle segment (financial position wise) is always at the receiving end. So is the case with 400 to 450 bracket. We are knocking the doors at 434 since May 2016. However, there are always good number above us, who gets entry. I think, CIC should do one big draw based on the immigration targets. Every two week's draw continuously push us back with new candidates with higher number.

Though, we have waited so long....so I will wait bit more till Feb 2017. Then, will draw a new strategy for immigration.

The first thing that you should do is stop looking OOPNP website... ;D ;D
( I seriously doubt anything that they say...there is big question mark on their so called "sources"....)

Secondly,CRS score falling below 400.
There are good chances of it getting down to 450 in next 5-6 draws as no. of invitation increases(Hope it continues)

However, if something has not happened in past ,that doesn't mean it won't happen in future, means score can come down to below 450 if current trend of invitation continues....

Lastly, have patience my friend, the shell has just started to crack(CRS score falling down) and you never know what might come out.... : ;)

totally agree with your comment. For the first time...it happened that score has gone to 1800+ and then 2000+....those...who are still believing the old lowest number of 450...should look into these increase draw numbers. That also happened for the first time...in the express entry history.

I applied under EE recently in September'16 with CRS score 420. I am availing the services of a consultant. What I could make of the latest immigration news and consultant's feedback is - Nothing! you just have to keep your fingers crossed with a score like that. Because this year is almost over and once 2017 starts, the target is getting reset so it could either start with a big bang intake or as a low key affair. It is neither comforting to hear the official govt. announcements already confirming immigration levels are gonna stay at the same levels in 2017. Add to that the general public sentiment among Canadians which is skewing towards an anti-immigrant sentiments due to opportunities being lost, wages getting pulled down etc. politicians might probably not underplay it.

The problem with applicants with a score above 400+ is that you are among the probables if cut off drops :-\ but at the same time there is no encouraging news from any sources about that happening not even with the results of the last one year draw. The real question we need to know if we are going to get lucky in 2016 is how many applicants are issued ITA in 2016 and what is the backlog for this year. If the backlog is high, there is a fair chance that cut off will drastically fall. Simple math suggests this year we have had bimonthly picks averaging around 1000 applicant issued with ITA. That means EE has only issued close to 25k applicants with ITA in 2016. So would be a good cue if we knew the backlog for this year. Thoughts?

Now that Trump has won, so many liberals in US 'might' also start migrating to Canada, but do they have any preference as a neighboring nation? If yes, that means the immigration target is going to shrink for us. If no, then they also have to go through the same immigration process, it simply means there will be more no. of qualified people in the pool, some even with Canadian work experience. How badly its going to affect us is something to think about! The good thing is the same Trump phobia could drive more opportunities towards Canada.

If they have Canadian education or work experience, then they will get same points as for any other foreigner with such background.
Until now there was no hint of preference. But for sure, many of them have language advantage.
