Hi All,

Did anyone receive a Letter of Interest from Ontario in the month of March.

I just got my IELTS score and my updated CRS score is 430. My NOC is 2174

Can I expect an LOI from Ontario soon based on the recent trend?

any January applications received an AOR yet? What is the status of the timelines for Ontario as of now? Which month batch are they on?

Kindly reply anyone who has information of this.

Thanks

The mid to end November applications are beginning to get AoR now. But not too many nominations reported on the forum for the November applicants.
Should be about a month at the very least for them to hit the January applications.

OINP obviously is not sending out PTs since mid Feb. Assume they need to clear the enormous backlog which is already created.

Being mechanical engineer can be some help with CRS score 415 ?
do they consider profession and CRS or just CRS score ?

As long as your work experience is under NOC skill types 0, A or B and you meet the requirements listed here, you need not worry http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-express.asp. If you are referring to ITA or OINP invite, it is solely based on your CRS score.

If you are looking at improving score for direct ITA, then target to improve your IELTS scores. I m not sure what your IELTS score is, but IELTS plays a very important role in boosting your CRS score. Ideally getting CLB 9 in IELTS (LRWS 8777) will give you the best points, You can try different values in the calculators here and see for yourself how much of a difference IELTS makes to your CRS score.

All the best!

PNP seems to be the only option after today's draw. :(

Why are they selecting only 1000 odd candidates?? They used to select close to 1500 in the earlier draws.

1. Still clearing the backlog of previous submissions.
2. They reduced their targets for economic immigrants in 2016.

have score of 452 left with 2 months of pgwp not eligible for oinp any advise ??? :'(

Hi,

I thought it is still possible to get OINP even after your current work permit expires and go back to your home country?

Can anyone confirm?

Thank you.

As long as you are still registered with a valid express entry profile, it is still possible to get an invitation from Ontario even if you leave Canada.

Immigration Class 2016 Levels Plan Target 2015 Levels Plan Target

Family Total80,00068,000
Refugee Total55,80024,800
Humanitarian Total3,6005,100

In 2015, FSW and CEC had quotas of 51,000 and 23,000 respectively, but this year they merge the two programs together with a total quota of only 58,400 - this explains the lost of more than 26,000 nominations for Economic stream.
