There are currently 28,000 qualified applicants in the Express Entry pool.“Qualified” means they have met the criteria for the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program or they have a provincial nomination.
* There have been 8491 Invitations to Apply issued so far under Express Entry.
* The lowest score drawn has been 453.
* The average score in the pool is 370.
* 350-450 is the largest band of points in the pool.For international students, 360 is a common score.
* Express Entry is expected to produce over 100,000 ITAs per year once fully engaged.However, for most of 2015 and for part of 2016, the majority of new permanent residents will come from pre-Express Entry applications.

As the government accepts more Express Entry applicants, the lowest score drawn will decrease.

Am in the same flipping boat and frustrated with my IELTS score, i achieved L 9, R 9, S 8, W 6.5
Just because of this writing am down at 401
otherwise i would have been standing at 444 but only because of this 0.5 band in writing...AAAAGGGGGHHHHH

I score 415 points due to IELTS. I have L8.5 R9 W6.5 S8
If I scored 0.5 points more in writing my CRS would be 473. Screw this IELTS

Both of you have lost points in writing.
I think, you can appeal for re-evaluation of your scores in IELTS.
Pls check with the institute that took your IELTS test.

I have a CRS score of 435, still hopeless an dfrustrating of no ITA :'(
I believe the average score in the pool is probably more than 370, where did you get that number?

Thanks. I will have to retake the exam if it gets expired. However I am hoping best & waiting for a fair chance untill the last day.

I have IELTS [ R8 L9 W9 S8] ... retaking means starting all over with booking the dates > preparation > exam > results. This all may eat up next 2 months.

Expired IELTS that too on the edge is quite boring

What do you mean by CIC going slow ? Is it like even if a draw gets pulled they may not send ITA ?

well, my guess is that a bunch of people are just not registered here, or prefer not to step forward.
btw, how is your IELTS appeal? I bet your W should be more than 6.5, if appeal doesnt help, then 1 month of IELTS targeted prep should make it. good luck!

my score is 436. The next step and the only available way to improve my CRS is to evaluate my husband's diplomas... 10 more points for 300 CAD... not sure it's worth it. Will wait for the next draw and decide
