Yes, even I also observed this same thing..

I think there will be a huge number of applicants in this range of 400-450 CRS.

Also this is the next nearest range of CRS for getting ITA since last draw lowest CRS was 453 and this time people are expecting to get ITA from this pool of applicants with CRS 400-450.

It may be that many are not registered here..
Or may be that they just wanted to be silent watchers.. Not taking part in conversations..
But then how is it going to help them ??

By the way I've noticed interesting thing. In this topic only several people take part. Is it really so few of us who score 400-450? Because other topics which discuss scores below 400 and above 450 have many participants. Strange observation

btw, how is your IELTS appeal?

It's only one week since I requested the remark of my IELTS. They say it can take up to 8 weeks. So I sit back and watch

In your situation I think 10 additional points are not worth 300$. If it were 50 :

I have 418 points CEC.
Well if we believe CIC statement that they have about 22000 applicants in the pool our spreadsheet represents 5%. So there are 257 people on the spreadsheet with a score between 400-450, if that's 5% it means there should be around 5200 applicants with this score in the actual pool, of course plus the ones with a higher score. If this will be true we have pretty good chances.
I am kinda hoping for 2 draws in the upcoming 2 last weeks of May, will see how it goes

422 here. I think I'll lose 6 points in August when I turn 33. Sucks to think I'm getting too old.

IELTS scores [S:9 L:8.5 W:8 R:7.5]. For the people saying they're losing 50+ points on one bad IELTS score, I don't think it works like that. Pretty sure you'll get points for the CLB score of each category. For example I get 34 points for everything apart from reading, which I get 31 points for.

I'm hopeful I'll get ITA eventually, based on the previous scores. But it's very hard to predict. I'm desperate to get to Canada one way or another as my ex is probably going to take my children there to live permanently. She's Canadian so can move back easily.

If it doesn't look like I'll get ITA hopefully I can get a job there to boost my score, but I will any Canadian employer give a job to someone who doesn't have PR? What are the other options? Get a work permit and try and land a job? I'm a software developer and it looks like there are plenty of jobs out there... fingers crossed.

Sitting at 402 lost due to my ielts in listening or else would have been near 440 Damn it.


But hoping to get an ITA if not now in few months but after the next two draws if the scores ain't looking like coming down then might go for IELTS again.

Determination — number of invitations

1. (1) For the purposes of paragraph 10.2(1)(b) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the number of invitations that may be issued during the period beginning on May 22, 2015 and ending on May 23, 2015 is 1,361.

Required rank

(2) Foreign nationals who, on May 23, 2015 at 00:00:00 UTC, have been assigned a total of 755 points or more under the Comprehensive Ranking System that is set out in the Ministerial Instructions Respecting the Express Entry System, as published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on December 1, 2014 and as amended from time to time, occupy the rank required to be invited to make an application for permanent residence.
