EE Applicants who Apply for BOWP???

Does anyone here apply for BOWP using thier AOR in EE?? did they accept it?? thanks

We had applied for a BOWP in February based on an AOR for an application sent in 2014. That file was returned in February (due to being incomplete) and we had no option except wait for Express Entry scores to come down We didn't withdraw our work permit application as we had a lot of days left for processing and were hoping to get selected for Express Entry and update this application. But, we received an AOR a few days ago for express entry as well (ITA for March 20th draw) and we updated our BOWP application. Our PGWPs were expiring tomorrow and our new permit got approved today So yes, to answer your question you can use the Express Entry AOR for BOWP extension.

ranjk89: We were eligible for both, but received an ITA for FSW.

luck999: We made an online application - we answered YES for eligibility for PR, because that is what an AOR used to mean in the old format. I've spoken to CIC agents and we can use the AOR from Express Entry for a BOWP as well - you'll have to answer yes for the question on PR. Processing times are long in both forms of application, so its really up to you which one you prefer.

I have called Cic and the agent told me Im not eligible for bowp even I habe aor since my work permit was expired last Feb 1.However I have applied for extension of my old permit but no lmia just a cover letter saying that I did took matleave 2x from 2011 a total of 19 mos.I have read from Cic website that they will deducted those times that u did not work.So technically Im not yet 4 years working here.Should I pursue my application for bowp or should I apply for closed permit using my Aor? Need some input guys TIA

Hi... I have applied PR under CEC using EE and my application is in progress.. At the same time, once after received AOR, have applied BOWP on the month of february. Yesterday I have got mail from CIC stating work permit is approved.

Due to visa expired, I back to my country at the end of february and looking forward some assistance, whether I can initiate the TRV with that work permit and travel to Canada?

Your suggestion is much appreciated.

U Said that u go back to your country by the end of february is this because your permit is expired or the 3 months implied status is Done thats Why u need to go back home?I guess u can Apply for TRV since ur permit is been approved.

Yes, I back to my country due to work permit expired and my company don't want to continue my work under implied status.

As per my understanding, BOWP is get approved based on the positive status of your PR application. To give clear message I need to wait and check my PR application once it get updated in MyCIC. As of now, my application is still in progress.
