Educational Credential Assessment through WES organisation.

Dear Experts,

I am writing you as I am planning to apply for Educational Credential Assessment through WES organisation. There are few aspects of this application I have doubt about and if you can please help me by clarifying them, it would be very helpful.

I have done both my Bachelor and Masters studies from India and the relevant universities have already been contacted for transcripts and I would be receiving them very soon in a sealed envelope. However, none of the univesrities would take the responsibilities to have them sent to WES directly as outlined by WES website. In that case, can I have the photocopies of the marksheets attested by the Controller of Examinations or Registrar’s Office sent to WES too in an official envelope along with the transcripts which I would be receiving from them. I am just trying to ensure that the documents sent to WES are all correct which do not lead any delays whatsoever.

Also, I find that the International Courier Service fees of CAD $85.00 is quite expensive for me. So I would probably opt for the Standard Delivery. But in case, those reports get lost in post what would by my options.

I think an alternative for receiving transcript from your university is to have them send it to YOU in a sealed envelope addressed to WES. This should then be placed in another envelope addressed to you. You will then pass it on to WES.

They need to sign on top of the seal of the envelop to WES.

I have opted for normal mail but may change and pay 85 - that's more reliable. Better safe than sorry.

i want to know if i didnt apply for the international courier which charged CAD $85.... and applied for normal post. But Question if it misplaced or i didnt get the report by normal post (if lost/any other reason) then what should i do.

I our case WES sent second enquiry to the university asking to confirm that UNIVERSITY sent doculments to them and not an applicant.

Thank you very much for your valuable reply... IF WES sent 2nd inquiry then it will take more times...bcoz in INDIA university wont reply if WES ask to UNIVERSITY to sent documents ... i think university wont sent the documents to WES... i didnt know what to do then...

1 more Question how do i know that WES asking for 2nd inquiry...bcoz i hv sent a mail to WES 15days ago... i didnt get any reply from them..

Hi , I mailed my transcripts to WES office on 19th November and I checked with courier company and they told me that it was delivered on the 25th but the status on the WES website is still " waiting for the required documents" Can anybody please suggest me why has not the status changed yet!

1. I understand that i need to do the document by document assessment..Will course by course will also be accepted or only document by document will be accepted ?
2. Do i need to send the higher secondary school (10th{ICSE} and 12th{ISC} standard in India) certificates when i send the documents to WES. I read somewhere that higher secondary school certificates are optional and need not be submitted to WES ?
3. I am planning to get the transcript of marks from the university(Kerala University) under which i have done my engineering. But they do no take the responsibility of sending the transcripts. We only have to send it to CIC/WES.. Do i need to send any other documents like degree certificate ? or any receipt/appl form etc from WES when sending the transcript to WES for assesment. ?
4. If i do not submit the documents for higher secondary when i get the report from WES will it be mentioned that i have completed 16yrs of education..? As per my understanding that is required..right ??

Anyone who knows more about this please help..

1. What is course by course….?
2. No you need not sent those documents since for bachelors admission requirement is secondary school graduation.
3. Most universities do not send the documents directly. so when you raise a request for transcripts specify them for visa purpose. universities have a procedure to do the documentation. so nothing to worry u will get in the required format.

do not open the sealed envelope in any case. If it’s open then it is not valued. So remember this, its very important

Hi,

I applied for my transcripts to IIT Bombay and it will come in following format as said by the registrar..
"consolidate statement of marks printed in one/two A3 size paper and comes in original form which cannot be bifurcated in semester-wise."

Is this ok? Does WES care about the subjects taken and grades I received, OR they require semester wise mark sheets only?

I have done my Bsc degree in physics and I would like to evaluate in wes. My question is, as checking my documents I misplaced my second and first years marks card and I have only third year consolidated one. Do WES require all three years separate marks cards or I can go ahead with consolidated one.
