On the website it says,

• HEC-attested photocopies of both the graduation diploma / degree certificate and marks certificates submitted to ICAS in an envelope that has been signed and sealed by the Islamabad office of the HEC (Higher Education Commission) at the time of attestation. ICAS will not accept documents which have been previously attested and packaged by the HEC at a later date.

Can we get a sealed envelope from Karachi Office? or it has to be form Islamabad HEC Office?

Hi Everyone

I submitted my Bachelor and CA degrees to IQAS for ECA. After 4 months, they sent ECA only for Bachelor as equivelent to two years certificate. On calling them, they told me that IQAS does not include CA, ACCA etc, in ECA. Any suggestion please?

i have completed BBA from newports institute in 2013 ... applied for IQAS ..... my degree is already attested from HEC, ministry of foreign affairs, UAE embassy .....
will they accept my degree and give positive assessment? I have heard rumors that they are giving -ve results for Pimset,preston and newports.....

can anyone clarify?

ICAS frequently prepares Assessment Reports for applicants who have completed education at Newports Institute of Communications and Economics.


As indicated on our website, the estimated processing time for a Canadian Immigration Assessment Package is 20 weeks from the day sufficient documentation is received in our office.

They send me this email address.

Hi Members,

I am new in understanding Express Entry procedure and have many doubts in my mind.
Can any one let me know while applying for ECA to WES, shall i get my degrees attested from respective authority or shall I also go for attestation of transcripts of those degrees too. (Or any one of these). I have studied on WES site that the documents or degrees that need to be send to them shall show detail of passed subjects and normally those details are mentioned on transcripts, so little confused, what to do in this case?
Need guidance...

Its true hec does not verfiy preston, pimsat ,newport and alkher univ degress..u may check through WES site they also dont verify aformentioned degrees, if u assessing ur credentials through iqas nd u must ask or call them..otherwise u may lost hefty amount..u can also coordinate wid HEC in this regard bt m pretty sure they do not verify these univs degrees..for iqas u dont need hec verification they just ask for sealed envelops provided by ur institutes bt the matter is ur univ eligible or not..

newport degree you can attest from HEC Karachi region I also have Newport Institue Degree I already Spoke HEC they told you can be attested from HEC Karachi Region Office.

Are you sure?as people are saying Newport ki degree srf IQAS se hogi, Have you done yours already? And did you got your ECA report from WES

alright, in my husband case he didn't went to HEC. He went to University and they filled the application along with verification then he sent to IQAS. Just want to confirm that does new port have their own verification dpt or HEC will do that
