Edmonton applicant Oct. 2017 after C6

Hi People,
here is my timeline
application sent: Oct 17,2017
application AOR: Nov 24,2017
Start processing : Dec 09, 2017
Test invite : Jan 09, 2018
Test/Interview : Jand 26, 2018
still in process

the officer told me that they are waiting for my security clearance and they can't tell how long is it gonna take. its been 3 month and nothing yet. is this normal? I have a sense that most people who applied in Oct are already invited for oath. I'm getting worried.

Dont worry , it took 3 months and 8 days for me. Just turned DM for me on 16 april and my test was on 08 Jan .

Yea it was written 3 business days after oath but i tried after 2 business days and it worked. My ecas status was changed to Complete (you became a Canadian citizen on ...)right the second day after the oath.

Hi guys, finally, I received my oath for May 1 in Edmonton. Quick question, according to CIC, the oath is scheduled at 1:30 yet my letter states that my oath is at 12:30. Does anyone know why?

Quick check on passport application.

What documents is required at passport office ( Applied in person). Do i have to give copies of additional doc ( like AB Driver Lic) to be signed by Guarantor ? or i can show original DL and they can scan at counter ? I am sure they will see original citizenship certificate and scan n return at counter as well ?

Since you re going to apply in person the guarantor doesn’t need to sign any photocopy. Even photocopies are not required. Documents required are listed on the passport application. Take the citizenship certificate and driving license the most important. I took AB health card but they did not request it. One section of the application should be filled by hand by the guarantor. He has to sign on the back of one photo. It took 8 business days for me to receive the passport. Usually they say 10 business days.

seems so. i got decision made in March and still waiting for Oath invite.

I passed my test on Jan 25th and had the same experience. still waiting for DM.
