I don't know what the issue with Edmonton is....yes. still no update. I'm so sad
No I was not out of Canada for that long before or after PR. maybe 4 weeks in total.I don't know what the issue with Edmonton is....
Have you gone out of the country much since you've been in Canada? I only ask because a friends landed in Toronto from the UK around the same time as me. She stayed there and i moved out to Alberta. I've been out of the country for around 145 days (trips to the US and UK mainly) during my time here and she had only been out of the country for around 75 days. She got here decision on the day she took the test in Toronto and like you, i'm waiting on further security checks. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the amount of days spend outside of Canada during PR??

Hmm.... I guess its just a waiting game then. I'm curious as to how some offices appear to be quicker than others
I do not think it has to do with the amount of times you have been out of Canada. I have been out of Canada over 20 times in the last 3 years and i go my decision made just 4 days after i took my test. it might just be delay from whoever is handling the processing of the background checks or what ever they are waiting forI don't know what the issue with Edmonton is....

Fair enough, thanks for the input. The lack of clarity given by the IRCC officers just seems to cause everyone to wonder hence the different scenarios people come up with. I previously got dinged with Quality Control checks when i applied for my PR a few years ago and that was equally frustrating having to wait 3 months for that.I do not think it has to do with the amount of times you have been out of Canada.
