Friend,

You are talking about winter jacket for 50$?
Because i have seen winter jacket range from 150-250 $ on Sears.ca
For me major expense would be buying winter jackets and snow shoes(150-250 $ each pair) for family.

Thanks

Well I dont know about sears though, we went to malls so many times, most of the shops had sales
and i saw many jackets $50 and below $100, and they were suited for the weather, just my experience
by the way we bought our winter stuff from ZARAs (Saudi) and we paid a lot,

Dear Forum Members,

An applicant which gets visa and lands at Canada, Is still he/she needs educational credential assessment, how much its requirements or for a landed person not so much worthy? What are your comments? I mean if it is beneficial then we should get this before landing.

Dear Umair, your comments please

On another forum i received following reply:

Its worth it, if your job is not regulated & you wanna do professional job right after landing.

But if you need to pass further examinations to become regulated professional(like in case of Engineers, Doctors etc), then its not that much beneficial.

One question to those who already landed in canada...i have heard that in canada voltage being used is 110 volt...so how can we charge our laptops, cellphones and DSLR cameras??. :( :(

Yes you heard correct.
check your chargers if it supports 100 to 240 VAC then no problem but if your chargers only supports 240 then you've to change it or buy transformers.

Mostly, all the chargers are multi-input type which gives you auto options 100 to 240 VAC. pl checkt your stuffl.

Laptop adopters and camera battery chargers support from 100 to 220. Read the info written on chargers.

Friends,

I am posting following query on behalf of my friend. They are family of 4 people. His wife is principal applicant. Their visas are stamped and has validity of May 2014. Unfortunately mother of my friend died and he postpone his traveling till April 2014. His wife is going to Canada in September for two weeks and come back and will go again with him in April 2014.

1. Does she need to carry 21000 CAD(must for family of 4 person as pof) to show off at immigration even if traveling alone?
2. Does her presence in Canada is must to receive PR card or PR card will be deliver at address given to immigration counter?
3. Does it affect anything if my friend and his children will travel later?
4. what should be reply of his wife in response to immigration officer if he ask about non accompany family members?

I will appreciate your response.

Thanks

1. Does she need to carry 21000 CAD(must for family of 4 person as pof) to show off at immigration even if traveling alone? - Yes she does
2. Does her presence in Canada is must to receive PR card or PR card will be deliver at address given to immigration counter? -Will be delivered to the address, sometimes there are photo specs. issues, and the photos needs to be sent again, if for some reason she does not get the PR cards she will need to get a Traveling document to enter Canada again
3. Does it affect anything if my friend and his children will travel later? - they will have to travel before the visas expire, otherwise no issues
4. what should be reply of his wife in response to immigration officer if he ask about non accompany family members? - she can tell the truth and that they will land on a later date (but before expiration of visas of course)

so recommendations are not to buy any jackets from malaysia or singapore or should buy one or two from here?
