can we share our rented accomodation with other friends and divide the rent?

yes i am married having two kids under 5. i have to go for a bedroom with kitchen and bathroom. no problem if its in the basement. good if a school is nearby with a park to play. but lowest rent is what i am looking for.

i have seen a lot of rental ads, is the rent mentioned in ads is the final one or is there a scope for some bargaining......... in general ?

If there are four of you, you will legally need a two bedroom apartment.

The CNOS states that

no more than two people shall share a bedroom
parents or couples may share a bedroom
children under 5 years, either of the same sex or opposite sex may share a bedroom
children under 18 years of the same sex may share a bedroom
a child aged 5 to 17 years should not share a bedroom with a child under 5 of the opposite sex
single adults 18 years and over and any unpaired children require a separate bedroom

As long as there are enough bedrooms according to the guidelines that scylla posted above, yes.

I would be very careful about which friends I allow to live with my young children, though, and wouldn't share with a stranger.

It becomes an issue of trust-- if you can trust the people you're dealing with, and if the landlord is all right with that, then I think there's little reason to not go for it.
