ECAS updated 4 months ago.. but still no formal letter

Our ecas got updated to interview scheduled for July 21st in March.. but we still havn't recieved any kind of formal letter or mail stating the time n venue of the interview.. We tried contacting the buffalo office but the only response we get is
"Your message has been forwarded to the processing team."

Now since the date is is just 5 weeks away.. what should we do?

something similar happened to me, I contacted the office my means of email, and a follow up call. A week before the interview an officer called and give me the details in the interview letter.

my advise is to contact the office by email. if you do not hear a reply from them for any given reason you have a recorded emaik and they cannot hold it against you.

I mailed them as you said and marked it as Urgent.
They responded back saying that they have already sent me a correspondance in March.. but i didn't receive any.. although my address in their database is correct..

I am planning to mail them again.. to let them know the same.. I hope, I receive some info before my interview

Wait until month end and if you don't get the letter write them again and include the first email string.

SCsquare, the same thing happened with my husband. Our E-CAS was updated saying the date of my husband's interview, but my husband never did receive the letter. My husband called the Canadain embassy in Stockholm, Sweden to enquire about the interview they scheduled and why he was not informed. They confirmed with him the date of his interview and the time he had to be there -- they told him everything over the phone.

My suggestion is to call the embassy that you are going to have your interview at and get them to give you all the necessary information.

SadGirl.. Buffalo CIC does not entertain phone calls.. although the phone# is available online.. but if u call u always hear a recorded message saying that we do not entertain phone enquires.. :'(

Unstopable1: I have already replied to them keeping the previous one in it as well... as in their reply they had written "advise our office by responding to this message".. so I jst replied back on the same.. hopefully will get something out of it..

I am not sure if a formal letter would be having additional information on the interview schedule and content.
My suggestion would be to appear at the consulate at the stated time and date.

Honolulu.. my prob is I don't knw the venue or the time of the interview jst the date... my application is in proccess in Buffalo.. but I had selected Detroit as my preference for place where the interview should be held.. so if I go to Buffalo assuming my venue is Buffalo n if its not then i am in a fix.. n I do not not know the time of interview... thus I am worried.. n after the cic to send me any info regarding the interview.. if nothing else they shpould atleast confirm the time n venue

ACsquare don't worry about it, they will reply to your email with the required information or if not they will call you and inform you. There is no grounds on their behalf to reject or say that you did not show up for the interview when you have trail/prof that you did not get the information and in addition you informed them.

So don't worry about it, they will inform you with no questions on that!!!!

It does seem like they are being quite unreasonable and I can understand your anxiety.
Have you checked with Detroit?
Are your case specific emails going to Detroit or Buffalo?

I am only sending case specific enquires to Buffalo as my case is in Buffalo

Thanks everybody.. they sent me the letter in e-mail yesterday.. I m happy I got it in time.. since they have requested me to bring certain documents that I have to arrange for.. which would require atleast 2 weeks time..
