ECAS status changed from Application Received to In Process.

Our outland family sponsorship application for Permanent Residence changed today to In Process.
Anyone knows how long does it take for PPR??????? The Ottawa visa office has started processing my wife's application on October 7th. Should we expect Passport Request an time soon?????

depending on where your wife if from, she may not get a passport request and go straight to decision made, which will mean her visa has been issued and mailed out. Ottawa tends to waive PPR for visa exempt applicants. is your wife visa exempt?

No she needs a visa to come to Canada. She has an Albanian passport. Our application was sent in April and our file was transferred to Ottawa.

Then you will probably get the passport request soon! I am not sure if that happens before or after decision made at ottawa.
