Ecase status not working since today :(morning???????????

Hi,

I called the call centre and the lady told me that they are doing a upgrade/update and due to technicial difficulties it is not available to the applicants.

Dear seniors,

As some postings show, I hope it is wonderful good omen for everyone waiting DM.

Although E-CAS isn't available as OmNi2012 let us know, I suppose this problem has some reason, not only technical issue for everyone ;
If you didn't get 2nd line and/or Medical request yet and you lost your E-CAS status, it means that your process has been started actually.

Some of my friends waiting the 2nd line on E-CAS also have got the same problem.
My friends' file was transferred their local VO just a few months ago.
One of my friend did call CIC on Feb 6th. As I heard, CIC said they can't check the status of application filed & they had no problems in online service E-CAS so far because nobody else raise the issue before.
Then, another friend called CIC and got an answer. Here is the information my friend posted ;

So on the cic online tracking tool problem . It seems that once the application has been assigned to a visa officer they turn off ur status and will update it with another quote when they are done screening the background checks . This is what the cic call center told me . So nothing to worry about any ways the visa office needs any info they would send us an e-mail .

hope this makes us all somewhat comfortable :)

I hope that this posting helps you... and Best of lucks for you! :)

It is working for some applicants and doesn't work for others. If it is technical issue it should not work for all at all but it works for many people waiting for MR. It only disappeared people waiting for DM

address disappearance

I wanted to share my experience with the 'address disappearance' on ecas for the benefit of others.

Initial Application: Nov.30.2009 (Pre-June2010)
From: Bangladesh
VO: Singapore
File transfer to VO: Feb.2010
File started processing: Nov.30.2010
Current ECAS status: 'In process'

On Sep.13.2011, my address disappeared from ECAS. Today, on Sep.19.11 I received Med Req, RPRF Req, Personal Net Worth Statement Req which was dated Sep.14.11

This in my view means: 'Whenever' our address disappears on ECAS, there is a 'very good' chance that our case is going to move ahead (i.e. if we are 'in process' then we move onto 'MED REQ' and if we are on 'med rcvd' then we may just move to Passport req or visa issue)

Hope this sheds light on all the people like me who have been /are waiting eagerly without any specific idea as to where things are going or what to expect next.

I like to thank QORAX for the support and advice, specially about CAIPS, from which I got a clear picture about my case. I had no idea about CAIPS (the way we find out our file status at the VO) until I read QORAX posts and answers to my inquiries.

Therefore, ALLAH is kind and will show us light, if we BELIEVE! Have Faith.

It not only disappeared applicants waiting for Decision Made... as previous replies (like Reply #63) informed that E-CAS also disappeared ppl waiting for Medical Req.
Anyway, it's a bit strange that CIC operator told some people "It's because of the technical issue" but told others "We don't have a problem"

hoping for the best fingers are crossed and waiting for good news..

I think CIC call center agents are the last people to trust. they dont know nothing. I called CIC call center and i was told that they cant say anything since my file is being processed at NDVO. Insted he sent me an email explaining how to complain CIC regarding eCAS long in problem. This is what he forwarded me.

No idea how long it will take to sort out...

My Ecas was working yesterday but it isn't working today :o

No need to worry guys...its just a technical issue, nothing else. If anything odd happens to one, then it is a matter of worry but when it is happening to 3 out of 5, then surely it would be a technical problem. Cheers!

This is exactly what I was told. I have sent them an email with the details. lets see...
