ECA WES help please

I wonder if anyone can help with real confusion I have with the ECA process......trying to do this on my own, by researching stuff but have got in a muddle.
My British uni have sent the transcripts of my degree to WES and on my WES account is says
"Completed."
"Review of Application Documents"
"All documents were reviewed and accepted" then it gives a 7 digit reference number."
WES also asked me to send a copy of my degree to them which they have received and now it also says
"Evaluation in Progress"
"Your evaluation is due for completion on 12/15/2017"
I really do not understand at all, is the reference number something I can use for EE or do I wait again...? I really need to put my application in asap and this is delaying it all.
Would be so kind if someone knows, even a short answer to my query.

you can use the file number for now and create your profile.
you can change it later , even after you received your invitation.

you can start creating your profile but you won't be able to submit without your ECA results

Thanks so much, good to know as I thought I might have done the same thing twice. I read something about the reference number being the same as the one they eventually give you but with some letters added.... I will take advice and wait a bit more.

However till date when we log in to WES and check the account it shows "On Hold". Anyone else has experience the same, does anyone have any contact details so that we can touch base with them to know what is the issue.

The contact center number is on the WES website.

They take a week to 10 days to update the status. Check by the end of this week and if there is no change in the status, call the customer care.

Thank you so much. We were worried because when I sent my documents for verification the status had changed immediately on the account.
Will wait till the end of the week and contact the customer care. Are they very responsive.

Based on what I have read / heard: Not responsive at all via email, responsive via Twitter / DMs on Twitter
First hand: Had to wait on hold for ~25 mins when I called customer care. But then they gave me a tentative date (while the system still had a generic message). So that was a positive.
