ECA Query: Transcript from US University.

Hi All,

This is my first post in this forum and really appreciate all the valuable information being generated here.

My question is regarding ECA.
I have a Masters Degree from a US University and WES wants the university to send the transcripts directly to them.
And they want the WES Reference number to be included.
Now my question is how would I ask the university to include the WES Reference number ?
Has anybody done this before ?

You can ask your university's enrollment services to do so. Or you can ask admission office or graduate school about how to request official transcript. Every university has their own form to request official transcript to be sent to an institution of your choice (in this case WES). Once you request, the university sends all the official documents to WES. Thanks.

Also, when you register with WES, they give you a reference number for your application. Once you have that number, you can request your university to send all transcripts to WES. For EE profile you can simply use that reference number where you have to insert WES reference for your ECA. So the key here is: register with WES (online), pay the fees, request your university for transcripts to be sent to WES, and use WES application reference number in your EE. Thanks for your info. You mean to say we can go ahead and complete WES without creating EE profile?
Also I am primary applicant , I want to use my spouse bachelor degree to earn more points .. Do ineed to create multiple WES profiles?

Yes. You can go to this website (google "WES canada", the first result is their official website) to create a WES profile and get started with WES application. I completed my ECA for Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program. Just click on "Educational Credential Assessment for CIC- Get Started" on the right top corner of the page. Once WES gives you a reference number for your application, save that number because you will use that number for your ECA details while competing EE profile. Getting started with WES application before even starting EE profile is the way to go!

I think one WES profile is for one applicant. So if you want to have you spouse's ECA completed, you need to create a different profile for her/him. But the process is the same! Thanks!

Just checked the online application for transcripts and they have a place to attach supporting documents.
I will attach the WES form there and may be a note along with that.
But need to complete the WES profile first..

Does WES reference number need to keep in sealed transcript ? Or I can keep separately while sending my sealed docs for verification
