Early Police Certificate

Hello,

I am living in Canada with an open work permit but am a US citizen have just applied to Canadian PR. If I would like to start the police certificate request early, is this advisable? I haven't gotten the request yet for medical history and the police certificate. I would like to have the certificate ready when it is requested in the application process. I just wanted to make sure that there was not a strict limitation with the issue date.

What exactly do you mean by "just applied to Canadian PR", do you mean you just created your profile OR that you submitted your electronic application after receiving an invitation to apply?

I would not worry about the FBI report since you are a US citizen. You would be able to get the FBI report within hours (I did) online using an approved FBI channeler when you do a Fast FBI check. It is a little more expensive but very fast. The physical copy would be received within a week. If you need to get PCC for other countries then that is a different story.

Then your application will be cancelled for being incomplete. What exactly did you upload in the medicals and police certificate placeholders in the document checklist?
