The status of the applications at different visa offices appears to be at varience in terms of processing time, Review time and medical. It would be interesting to know if applicants post here their visa office and status on ecas. Mine is
Visa office: London documents sent 7 May
ecas as on 22/6/09: "1.We received your application for permanent residence on January 8, 2009.

2.We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on January 16, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3.Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review."

Have not received AOR (22/6/09)

Yes it may varies for visa office to visa office. My status is like below:

* we received your application for parmanent residence on February 4, 2009.

*We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 17, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the singapore office. They are pending review.

*your application was reviewed and started processing on June 9. 2009.

I Think my one is faster than you. Seniors can say actually for which reason this time arey varying. There must remain pririty issie. That may be job catagory, country cota/ proper and clear documents etc.

Thanks
keep in touch.

Dear All,

I posted the completed application to London Office in April 2009 and the docs were pending review.

The new e-cas status shows that the documents has been reviewed and process starts on xxxx June 09.

I just wanted to know if they are some docs lacking in the application pack or required by the visa office then they start the process or not? Or there is some other message like additional docs required?

What I meant if they do not have any objection after reviewing then they start processing or not? Will the e-cas status be different if additional docs are required or any objection?

Do let me know.

Kind Regards,
Khanboy

It probably means that they they have reviewed your application and started processing. Most likely no major document is missing and if any minor clarification or document is needed they must have mailed letter to you with a time limit. Congratulations. You should expect next stage of medicals soon.

I wonder you had similar earlier E-CAS as I mentioned above in my case or was different. How long it took to change from Received Pending Review to In Process?

my ECAS status in May was " application received by the visa office."
it changed to "your documents have been reviewed and we started processing" in june 11.
within 2 weeks i received my request for medicals and rprf.
you will receive your next communication anytime soon. it'll either be a request for additional documents or medicals.

Dear Jtob

When did u sent the document to London office. In my case I sent my document 11/05 and received AOR 21/05 and waiting for starting processing because my status is still "pending" (your document and ---- is recieved---) I am a little bit worry because now it is elapsed around 40 days without any letter or changing ecas status.

Please your opinion would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Zaid

Thank you for the reply. I think we are in the London office so I will be happy to stay in touch with you. According to you I should wait for any sort of communication from london office.

I will keep you updated here and will be really grateful of you if you can do the same here.

Thanks

Dear All,

I think they always sent a letter when they either complete review or change e-cas status. Better to wait for some good time as I am aware there are some delays in communications due to high volume of applications but they will respond.

I will update all of you.

Cheers

No they don't send you a letter every time ecas changes, the only thing you will get is an AOR, a request for further documents, a medical request, interview appointment, refusal letter or Passport Request.
