Same here AOR March 15th, IP1 since early April :| No changes after medical passed & bg in progress

I actually called CIC last week, they just told me "we are processing your background check"

We are in the same boat. I called them on June 23 and they said they're still checking my eligibility :/ this wait is driving me crazy.

Glad we are not alone!!!

I saw a few cases that ppl received PPR with bg still in IP1, hopefully that would be our case too!!

Does calling cic often impact the application in any way?

I called cic 3 times for legitimate reasons but I saw that GMCS notes capture cic calls.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Hey guys, looking for advice.

My AOR - 29th March
Background - Currently NA (I have lived both in UK and Australia for more than 2 years so I can see this taking awhile)

I am inland and my current working visa ends August 15th. Do you think I will have my PR by then?

I have applied for a bridging visa but im worried that won't come in time either and I won't be able to continue to work, is there anyway around this or a way to speed up their process? Any help will be appreciated as im starting to stress.

I think I found my answer to this, for anyone else who is wondering.

It's not a good idea to contact CIC multiple times as it raises suspicions about your case.

This is not related to PPR but it's the same concept (reason 4):https://www.immigroup.com/news/top-...onnaire-after-you-have-submitted-your-pr-card

You are missing a very crucial point there though. "Suspicious behavior ", this isn't necessarily frequency but the manner! You can call just once and cause an agent to have concerns. While someone else can call 10 times in a well mannered way and not generate any concerns!

I hope you're right ;)

Anyhow i think that people that are stressing soo much before the end of the 6 month periode and keep calling and contributing in the actual delay. I think that we should wait and then after a minimum of 4 or 5 month we can send an email or call once. I saw people calling each week as if it was going to make the proceedure fasree

Hi All,

I have been following this forum silently and the timelines posted here, really very helpful. Below are the sequence of events for my profile

CEC - Inland
NOC# 2171
AOR March 4
Medical Passed Mar 26
BG Check In progress (Mar 26 to Mar 29)
BG Check N/A (Mar 30 to May 20)
BG Check In progress (May 21 till now)
Got an email on June 23 for interview on June 30 @ IRCC Etobicoke
Interview was a general one and Visa Officer told that its part of a random quality check and I don't need to worry. She asked me to wait for couple of weeks before I would get a "news".
However no final decision made yet. I am so unsure that what is happening at the background.

Anyone faced similar situation? Your thoughts will be really helpful.

Hi all,
Like most of the people in this thread I was almost tensed about my application but to my surprise got my PPR mail last eve below are my time lines

AOR March 9
Medical passed on march 29
Background started on the same day status never changes after that after almost 105 days got my PPR.

Iam on ICT work permit and claimed 50 additional points and there were no question s concerns raised didn't submit RCMP as well

Thanks every one for the positive thoughts, hang on tight PPR on the way

Hey hi, Applied by March 23,2017. Can you tell me more about that 50 points claim ? Is it nescessary to have ICT work permit more than 1 year from the date you receive the PR or just while submitting application process. Please confirm. Your answer will really help.
