Congrats...lucky you..
I also did my submissions in Aug 10 and 2nd AOR in Sept, still showing 'received by visa office' :(

Did you do send any reminders or did some follow up in between? If so, please provide me with the mail id so that i can follow you..

Rejis, not to worry at all, everything will be fine, wish you all the best.

Hi,

Anybody can help with my status:

i got my 2nd File Number on 19th September 2010. It has been 5 months now, i am waiting for the medical request.
My ECAS Status is RBVO.
There is no where mentioned about my 2nd File number.
i have also applied from Dubai.

Below is what is mentioned in the ECAS:
==============================
We received your application for permanent residence on April 12, 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on June 23, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the London England office on June 29, 2010. The London England office may contact you.

Is this an error in the ECAS system? Should i send them an email or wait for minimum 8 months?

I am asking this because without any change in the ECAS Status i got my 2nd file number in September.

Was just going through the history of posts from Mr.Optimistic ...little worried :(

The dates show that my application was submitted b4 Mr.Optimistic; but the sumbissions & second AOR were during the same time and my status has not changed.. Sorry, i am getting little tensed.. Seniors, would there be any problems with my applications or these are quite normal with London office?

Anyway, following Mr.Optimistic, i also have sent a mail asking for the staus update...

Hi, I have been a silent visitor to the forum, and it has helped a lot for getting important and valuable info.
Thank you all for all your imputs that guide us through this long wait.
Our case in "In Process" since March 2011, so I know I still have to wait a while.
I have one question though: does anyone knows, if at any stage we will be asked to show the original education certificates, and degrees? Or the notorized copies sent already are enough?

Good Luck to all :)

Hi Dodi,
In case you are called for an interview you will have to take all the original docs along with you.
Thanks

@ Qorax & all seniors,

hi there....!

i have a small query..it has been asked many times from other forum user and me as well..as if now many cases under FSW1 with noc 1111 & 0111 are under In-process with RBVO status since oct-2010.......my question is this In-process staus dummy....just to keep the applicant feel that the process is under B/Check...or Doc/check...that too for CHC London...bcaus i recieved 2AOR in july ...& when i send a Case enquiry they replied by saying it will take 2 years...or more...& that too they changed the status to In-process with RBVO details.......& another thing i have noticed one thing that many forum user update false info ....i have read in one of th post that CC replied to wait for 2 years ...or withdraw their application if thy wish.....

Dear reachcanada

normally it takes 3-4 months, however in my case it was a bit longer. They received my medical on 2 August 2010 and pp request was on 16 April 2011. on 15 Nov 2011, they asked again for some documents that i had already sent to them, PC for my wife, which in my view caused some delay in addition to the background check. Wish you all the best

dear: if you have applied through a consultant, better is ask your consultant to send an email. they may not reply you with the updates and will ask to check with your consultant.
In such cases, reply will be sooner from CHC :), i got the reply within 3 days to contact my consultant.

Not necessarily... if your mail is well presented, suave & modest - the VO is likely to reply u as well. They do not always ask u to come thru the consultant.

I was with a consultant too... sent many mails directly - and each one of them was replied. Though once they did ask me whether I was intending to relinquish the services of the consultant? To which, I replied negative - that I was on instalment plans with them & was definitely going to pay my dues till the end...

That was about it. The VO themselves stopped corresponding with my consultant & Xchecked/requested everything thru me directly. I had loads of correspondences with them thereon. I had changed my address [from Consultant's to mine] - got ADRs [multiple ones], med-forms, PPR etc. directly... the consultant was sidelined - but did pay up to the last cent to my consultant.

It all depends...

It is always taking more than this estimate, especially nowadays. Mine send end of Sept. 2010 and still waiting.
