Hi to all and especially to all seniors!
I am an applicant under old scheme and I have been following this forum for more than one year now.
I have got two questions.
First Question) I got my file number at the end of January 2008 and since then there is no news yet. In the letter which we got (on which file number is mentioned) stated "The current waiting time estimate for skilled worker category, based on our current inventory of applications and the annual targets set by parliament, is 42-48 months".
Does it mean that our case will be finalized (will there be any decision made to our application) within 42-48 months???
OR
Does it mean that we will be receiving the documents request within 42-48 months??? and after that again a painful wait for any further requirement for documents and then medical or interview....
In short, please advise me how much time (tentatively its gonna take more to get the maple leaf on the passport)????
Second Question) I did my IELTS (Academic) and I got a cumulative 7 Band (Listening: 8.5, Writing:7, Speaking: 6.5, Reading:6.5). Last time I posted on the same forum and got to know that I will get the maximum marks for my IELTS.
My question is, does it make any difference if I would have scored more in IELTS??? Does it pose an impression if I would have scored more in IELTS or its the same as I fulfill the requirement to get the maximum marks.
I would highly appreciate and be grateful for input from senior members (Captain Qorax, Mr Biju, Mr SATDXB, etc.) and other members.
Best of luck to everyone (including me)
Regards,
Its been 40 months that we are waiting for any news from Canadian Authorities and its been complete silence since end of January 2008.
