Hello everyone,

Its great i found this forum, i wanted to ask experienced people away from agents and consultants to give me REAL opinions.

My husband and I want to apply for Canada immigration, we have talked already to one consultant, but i have made some search online and knew that some people apply for immigration by themselves without using any consultants.

i need any opinions regarding this matter and if anyone here applied by himself, i would really appreciate if he shares his experience with me on how he did it, as i also have some questions regarding the documents and the applications.

thank you so much for being here :)

Welcome Zaraa,

No need to hire consultant. This forum is the best consultant I have found till now.

I have applied myself and everything is going smooth.

Regards
Cool

Hi,

Need advise..... I am planning to apply for a tourist visa to Canada as my sister would like me to visit her during Ramadan time. My company will give me NOC and provide the necessary documentation for my visit.

Question is...would this jeopardize/affect my pending FSW/PR visa application or vice versa?

Thanks in advance!
:)

While the PR is under process it'd be a tough call to get a Canadian TRV [visit visa].
Not impossible - but tough indeed... u'd require to present a strong case for your need to visit Canada & quantum proof that u'd return soon.

I visited Canada once before I received the medical examination request forms for my PR application. Now my passport is in CHC London for PR visa stamping. I was able to get a visit visa to Canada in the midst of my PR visa processing.

Yes, Sir Qorax is correct. It will be tough to get a visit visa with a pending PR application. I got a letter from the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba addressed to the visa officer attesting that my purpose of visit is to sit for the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination. I wanted to bring my family with me during that visit but I did not, as they were my strong tie back home that will give the VO the impression that I will be leaving Canada afer the exam.

Dear SATDXB and DEAAR,

CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH OF YOU.......WISH YOU LUCK ALWAYS....

Dear Biju,

If the documents from your company are strong such as job contract etc, I see no problem, I got TRV from Abu Dhabi while pending FSW! application. Mine is Govt. job. No interview or any more documentation. You must have invitation from your sister, her bank statement and passport copy.

Hi

if ur applying CAIPS do it May last week so it wil be at least more than 90 days from the date of IN Process

one of the forum member got a reply below:

' since the department have received applications for more than 425,000 people ( between Feb 27th 2008 & June 25 ,2010 ) & that 144,000 had not yet received a decision'

Mine was one among the 2nd AOR's which were asked to wait for 8 months

'it also says that it may take for so many applicants may have to wait 2 or more number of years for the applications to get processed.......

Does it mean fast track applicant like me has to wait for more than 2 years????

Hi Micham,

If not too much of asking, kindly post the full detail of this particular mail which you received from CHC London. Thanks.

Guys, i am trying to post some questions, but it keeps telling me that i am forbidden to access ... does anyone knows what that means? and why can i post this but i cant post my questions?

Hello again everyone,

I have few questions regarding the applications:

1-APPLICATION FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN CANADA

12- Education: How many years of formal education do you have?
what does formal education mean?
primary, elementary, secondary and university ... OR only secondary and university?

19- Identity Card number:
which shall i provide? the National ID or my country of origin ID?

Details of Family Member:
my husband has a daughter which will not accompany us to Canada, shall i still provide a photo of her?

2- SCHEDULE 1

6- Your status in that country:
what do they mean by status??

9- If my husband has applied before to Canada and has been refused, which point shall i tick YES?

12- Membership or association with organizations
13- Government positions
14- Military service
If i have nothing to write in the above tables, what shall i write? NONE (as the application says) or N/A (as the instructions guide says)? i mean which has the priority to follow? and shall i write NONE or N/A in all the boxes or only one?

15- Addresses
when i write my present address, to which date shall i write? or shall i leave it empty?

3- ADDITIONAL FAMILY INFORMATION

-Only names should be written in English and Native language, but the other info only in English, right?
-what i understood that my husband and I each should fill a form of his own, am i not right?
-My husband is the principle applicant, so if i am to fill a form for my self, in SECTION A, my name should be in the applicant space, right?
-My Mom and Dad are dead, so what shall i write in their Marital status and addresses?
-In SECTION B, i have a step daughter which i will mention, so i don't need to sign below where it says "I certify that i do not have any children, either natural or adopted", right?

-If i want to attach an additional sheet for extra info, i just type it in word format, print it and attach to the original application?

-I read a lot, but something i couldn't figure out, where shall i send the applications and documents? to Sydney or London?

Guys am done with my questions for now, i know they r A LOT, but i REALLY need your help in these issues, if u can't help me, at least tell me which thread can answer my questions?

Thank you so much in advance
