If you Bio Metrics was not registered before you will need to send your bio metrics. Application can be filled up online and will be delivered to your residence.

Hi everybody...

Only a few weeks ago, did I decide to finally put some effort into chasing my dreams of a life and career in Canada. And coming across this forum has really opened my eyes to a wide range of things about the whole process.
I am a nurse currently working in dubai and I wish to apply under NOC 3012. If there is anybody out there who could take some time to help me get started, I would be very grateful. I had initially thought of just letting a consultancy handling it. But after going through several threads here, I realize that it isn't just as easy as that.
Since time is of the essence now, I look forward to some guidance to get myself started.

Start by reading www.cic.gc.ca.

Establish your eligibility, documents required, post questions and get answers. It's quite simple.

hi :)
thnx for the reply.. i did go through the site.. i have 68 points.. i also did read that we can carry out the application process by ourselves..however, i have very busy duty schedules and would prefer if a consultant could manage it for me.. i am still checking out consultants here in dubai....
any suggestions...
i have gone through the checklist for documents to be attached... the work experience documents seem to have certain mandatory inclusions like salary, duties etc. I already have work experience letters from my previous employers..however, they do not have all the points required..will i need to get them re-written?

Hi Guys,

I need your help. I lived in Dubai for 9 years and moved to USA last year. now I have to get Dubai PCC and from USA the procedure is quite tedious.

I have to send finger prints to UAE embassy in Washington who will authenticate the prints and then I will have to send whole package with documents to Dubai police and they told me it could take 3 months to get PCC.

Has anyone applied Dubai PCC from USA? I really can use some help. I need quicker solution as 3 months is a long time.

Appreciate your help on this.

Whether you have a consultant or not, the bulk of the time will be spent by you in gathering the documents, taking IELTS, organising the fees..... Instead of putting them together and mailing them, you will be giving them to a consultant who will charge you a fancy fee which, if saved, you could use in settling down. There are hundreds on this forum who will volunteer their time to give you advice and help. The choice is yours.

Make sure the documents are exactly as per the specified terms; if it means getting them reissued, pls do so and take IELTS if not done so already.

Guys, did any one have his/her MR in Abu Dhabi ? If yes, I need to send you a PM.

You should score a minimum of 6.0 in EACH Category.

You have scored 5.5 in Speaking. Therefore, you need to retake the whole exam and score a minimum of 6.0 in EACH category again.

Hello Jignesh

have you gone through the Dubai Police website? They have a Certificate Of Good Conduct section which i believe states the time frame involved.

Hi Get2243

What is your status as of now ? Any progress ?

I am actually based i Qatar but need urgent advice. I am assuming that some of the problems we have here in Qatar would also apply to Dubai. Have tried unsuccessfully to start a thread for Qatar based applicants!

My degree certificates, mark sheets etc are in German. I had them translated by a translation company accredited with the Qatar government. Sent these to WES and have received back the ECA - all good.

However, it seems to be impossible to get an affidavit from the translator. The translation is stamped with a sworn declaration that it is a true translation etc and signed by the translator, however this was not done in front of a commissioner of oaths or a notary so is not really an affidavit. The translation company keeps telling me that since they are accredited with the government here, an affidavit is not needed and in fact impossible here in Qatar. They tell me their other clients applying to Canada just get the translation stamped by the Qatar ministry of commerce and the Qatar ministry of foreign affairs and they have had no problems. The government ministries stamp in Arabic, do I then need to get the stamps translated as well? I have been searching for weeks and have been unable to find a commissioner of oaths in Qatar, only the consulates provide this service for their own citizens as I can tell. I am totally lost.

Same problem with getting certified copies. I paid QR500 (AED500) to have certified true copies made at the German embassy but the stamps are all in German and I only realized afterwards, that consulates are not on the list of entities that can certify copies for Canada. I could try the notary public here in Qatar if that would help but all stamps are only in Arabic. I guess my translation company just got lucky? I have no idea how to proceed. Please help!

Why do you need an affidavit?

If the documents were issued in Germany then the German consulate is the correct authority to certify the translation into English or French.
