As long as you have valid visa & valid passport (no matter if visa is in old passport) no VO can stop you from entering/landing. However do your research before you act.

Unrelated to this discussion, but the comment you made about no VO can stop you from landing, is not correct. For almost every country I can think of immigration act (of that country) says visa does not guarantee entry into the country. Secondly, the name "Confirmation of Permanent Residence" is a bit misleading, as getting the COPR does not guarantee permanent residence status in Canada and the CBSA officer at Canadian airport is the final authority that grants you the permanent resident status (by allowing you to land). He/She can still deny you entry or put a condition on your PR at his/her discretion (provided he/she can justify their decision should you go to court against this decision).

The reason I am highlighting this is that I am a frequent traveler and have seen many people get into arguments with immigration officers on such issues and the outcome is not always good for them. The reason for this problem everyone assumes "immigration officers are experts on immigration policies of their country" and this is not true. Like we don't know everything about our own fields, similarly immigration officers don't know everything, especially things they have not encountered before. It is always good to carry documentation proving your case (even if it is just a printout of the immigration website) if there is something slightly unusual about your circumstances.

But this is just me, a lot of people are just carefree and don't really care till something like this hits them.

go to any Legal Translator they will translate your documents. take two copies, one u can send VO and one for your for future. same experience certificate take only nice color copy and no need of notarization. or u can take two copies of your expedience certificate from the same person one for your and one for VO. no need attestation. VO will verify the documents through his / her own sources.

Good day guys.

I would like to ask your opinion on which is better to apply on my own or with the help of Immigration Consultant in Dubai?

If I will apply on my own ( meaning no Representative) , am not so sure what to do.
If any one has helpful tips/guidelines for me to start with I will deeply appreciate if you could share.
Thanks & God Bless

Guys I have a fresh word from LVO, regarding Valid Visas in Expired PAssport

The visa shall be considered invalid if an expiring passport is renewed, however there is an option to apply for re-issuance of visa and CoPR once a new passport is issued. This will cost 30 AED per head...and this will automatically requires the reissuance of VISA for an entire family....

The manual posted in the website of CIC is valid only for holders fo temporary Visas....

Now my concern is, I am planning to land anytime soon in Canada just to satisfy the landing period requirement....We might stay there for a week or two....But how long should I stay there just to facilitate our application for PR Card and Healtd card and SIN? It may take weeks for issuance and I hope it is allowed for relatives there to receive it, and they will just send it to us in Dubai....

I hope you guys can advice, especially those who have recently experience it...

thanks...

Guys is there anyone who landed recently in Canada, could u please share your experience and some tips... I'm concern about the PR And Health Cards, and SIN, how to apply these? While in Canada , I can't wait for these to be released since we will only stay there for two weeks... I believe that we can't go back without the PR Card... But I'll ask them to send it our relatives in Canada, then our relatives will send it to us in UAE...I hope this one will work..

health card depends on the Province u are going to live.
SIN can be done at the airport (last I heard)
PR card will take time, around a month or half, and the cards will be posted to u through mail in a CANADIAN address.

You don't need a consultant if you follow the guidelines to the last word. They are pretty clear about all requirements. I did it on my own.
