He can surrender the Toronto license and get the Edmonton one. You can drive for a few months on the G license. He cannot have both a Toronto and Edmonton at the same time. These are provincial matters and Canada is very strict that you take privileges only from the province you live in.

Dear QURAX

I am from India, residing right now in Saudi Arabia, I would like to go to canada.
I need to clarify some of my doubts.
I have never gone to Canada neither I have applied before.

  • Can I apply for the first time itself as a FSW for a permenant resident visa
Yes you can, no problem
Or
  • Do I need to visit canada before applying for PR VISA
No you don't
Or
  • Do I need to apply for a temporary resident visa and stay in Canada for few months then apply for PR VISA
No you don't

Usually as of my knowledge no country will provide you with a PR VISA as a new immigrant or to first time visitor, but still when I read CIC programs it confused me that its possible to apply for PR VISA , but CIC website doesn't state clearly that whether a person can apply for PR VISA who has never gone to Canada before.someone gave you wrong information

Will the canada Immigration issue PR VISA to the persons before they land?
Yes, you need a PR visa BEFORE you land

I am planning to prepare my application for FSW now.
Kindly let me know the exact thing. As you all are there, you might have got experience of all these stuff. Please follow advise given by Coolguy

you can go to any legal translation they will do it then you have to attest english version from the ministry of foreign affairs.

Thankyou for that...

So - do I attest the original arabic from ministry of foreign affairs, get a photo copy and attest that from ministry of foreign affairs...
and then get a translation and attest that also by ministry of foreign affairs? Is that correct or too much?

Since I need to give them a certified true copy of the original arabic version too...

Yes , he is surrendering Toronto G, and about to get Edmonton's one. The main worry is the requirement
of giving up UAE d/l. Anyways, thanx for response....regards

Why is he even showing in his application that he has a UAE licence if he already has a Toronto licence which he can surrender?

Regards,

Well, I will tell you why. When he got G in Toronto, showed his RTA experience certificate. That fact is on central data base, how can he conceal that fact. It is my humble advise to all prospective immigrants not to conceal any fact from Canadian authorities at any level. That may always haunt you....just remember you have to be a Canadian citizen in future and at that time any slight discrepancy will render in unnecessary delay , even denial, of your citizenship application. I would further advise all to remember/keep a complete record of all informations you provided at the time of initial immigration application and all subsequent informations too.

I pray for everybody's success in getting Canadian immigration......regards

Thanks for very useful information.

Yes, you will get PR visa stamped on your passport even though you have not landed in Canada anytime.

You need to check following for applying under FSW:-

1) Occupation List (check whether the CAP** has reached or still you can apply)
2) Your IELTS (English language test result)
3) Education Credential Assessment

** There is a limit of 300 applications per year for each category such as IT, Doctors, Etc. If the limit is reached , you cannot apply this year and try next year.
