Dear Sir Qorax and Seniors,
To-day I have received email from CHC London through my consultant and I have replied
immidiatly what I thought were facts. I am reproducing below their email and my reply for your
comments and advise and your expert estimate how long more I have to wait for mapple stamp on
our passports.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in reference to the above application for permanent residence in Canada.
Please follow the instructions on the attached form and submit the requested documents to our office as soon as possible for visa issuance. Please note that your current medical results will expire on 30 December 2012, and your visas will only be valid until this date. As such, unless new medicals are undertaken, you will need to land in Canada by 30 December 2012. Please inform us if this will not be possible for you.

MY REPLY

Thanks
for your email below. As you are well aware that I was very anxiously waiting for PPR request and timely landing in Canada. CHC London email of 6th Dec. 2012 is very clear. Keeping all facts and time constraint in view it WILL NOT be possible practically and logistically to land at Canadian airport before 30th Dec. 2012. Therefore please inform them that my self and spouse would prefer to go through RE-MEDICAL proceedings. Looking forward for their further necessary action ASAP in this regard

I have a friendly advise - do not miss this opportunity. Go get the passport delieverd to LVO thru FedEx, book your tickets for 26-28th Dec, complete your landing (arrange an address for getting PR cards) and return back. This will cost you in dollars but your all efforts since 2007, would come to closure otherwise there's a long que for visa processing MI1, 2, 3, 4, and new MI is about to come in 2013. Give it a try and dont loose this 'sudden opportunity!'

Choice is yours - think before you say NO to LVO.

Dear Qamar,

We all understand your situation and its too confusing BUT brother don't forget that you have waited for this moment since long time and now its your time to hit the ball hard !!!!

Please do not waste this opportunity and email directly to LVO that you are agreed on terms given and immediately send your PPs by courier and arrange a flight before 29th Dec. finalize everything before you get your PP back with beautiful Maple stamp and say bismiallah and start your journey I am confident in writing you this and inshallah you will not regret of taking this step !

Be brave and finish this game brother !!!!!!
Best of luck

Hi all!!!
Anybody doing the landing on feb2013?

yes cj i am planing to land Toronto on first week of feb,2013

Finally I ve got time to write all my lovely friends over there. lemme start with my landing experience. I have landed to Toronto on 24th Nov,12. It was a 14 hrs journey from AUH (Etihad Airways) and It took almost 1 hr to finish the process. Immigration people were very friendly. Don't forget to carry the B4 form, it'll make the process faster. I took full day rest on next day as it was Sunday. On Monday, I have visited service Canada to get my SIN number, I opened a bank account in CIBC, and took a pre-paid connection from chat-r (CAD 40 package, unlimited talk time to anywhere in CA) but the only problem is it doesn't have data package. So, I might switch to WIND soon. I am staying with one of my friends n he's so nice that i'm still in my honeymoon period but soon I have start searching for job. In the meantime I have contacted welcome center for assistance. It's useful as well. Couldn't apply for my health card yet as I don't have any proof of address. I'll apply once I get my account statement mail.

I was busy in buying some worm cloths as I was almost naked in Dubai ;) (Desertland to Iceland). All the best for all my friends and pray for me.

Mr Qorax Thanks for reply, its look my consultant was giving many misleading information just to sell his post landing service. which i have refused already i have got the maximum information from your thread thank you very much for your great effort.

qorax said:
Not True.
Ur consultant is talking nonsense, or u might have understood him/her wrong. The requirement of demonstrating the 'settlement funds' is ONLY for the PA, and while landing for the 1st time in Canada. Subsequent entries by him/her or any of his family members, whether accompanied by him/her or alone, do not have that requirement.

If one doesn't have anyone here it's wise to 'land' alone for the first time... settle down, fetch a job, organize a yrly rental, buy the car, network a bit AND then fetch the other members of the family. That said, many enter Canada with their families as well... and go on to do well. It's not a benchmark, especially if funds r not a/ny issue.

1. Yes, many do so. Pls read above.
2. IMHO, one should carry more (nearly double) than what the CIC table (funds by pax) suggests. In any case the minimum one must carry is in that table.
3. Monthly statements of international banks is sometimes accepted, but it's not the norm. The ideal way to bring ur funds is in "the 80:20 rule":
-80% in Draft/s;
-20% in Cash.
