Only One month Later 24th March @ YYZ...... what abt u ??

Friends & Seniors,

I have received my Caips Notes which I had order on 1st Nov and 9th Nov I got letter requesting from CHC London for RPRF and Medicals.

Both above sent to CHC London last week and I am surprised to see Caips Notes that my BDEC Still blank !!!! No 0 No 1 nothing !!! only PSDEC 1 DT 22-6-2012 and SELDEC 22-6=2012.

Please discuss this above as I was having impression after getting Medical that my B/C is over !! But i think this is not the case and I am scared that this is gonna take more time then what i was assuming after sending my RPRF and Medicals.

ackground check is done after the medical and before issue of Passport request....,

Dear seniors,

I have one question. My son's date of birth (approved based on all the documents i.e. birth certificate, passport) is not the real one. The difference is of exact one year.

However immunization records are based on the true DOB. Now when I will prepare the Immunization certificate do I need to adjust accordingly (which is obviously a lie) or it is fine and I can explain the real situation while it comes to the admission on the school while I am there?

Please guide me.

DOB recorded on Immunisation record is not relevent in scheme of things in canada...,it is only needed for showing that you have immunised your child, that is it

We sent passport on 21sep and got it back on 7nov

Please see below an excerpt from Qorax post, I hope this would be helpful to you in understanding the whole 'Process'. Wish you goodluck for PPR.

Security & Criminality Checks:

A part of the b/ground checks is the 'Security Check'. It commences after our med results are submitted to the CHC. This is a major activity -mainly concerning our 'safe inclusion' into the Canadian Soil; vis-a-vis, Political, Socio-Econmical, Anti-Social disposition, perceived Threat to Canada's integrity etc. This gets us the SDEC, CDEC & SECCRIM.

This is a serious & time-consuming stage, involving many agencies, including CSIS, Interpol, NASC, Database Checking & touch-base with Local Police. Many things are considered here... the No. of countries visited, Applicant coming from 'certain' countries, ex-Servicemen [including Law Enforcement services], Prolonged stay in a country w/out sufficient docs to prove cause, frequent traveling to certain nations, your *Name (?), Inter-Religion/Nationality Marriages etc.

If everything is simple & straight, the file soon gets into the 'final review' stage. If there are any 'red flags', our case goes into a 'spin'. Then our file might go to the local Police/CID agencies; the outcome/timeframe of which is beyond the control of CIC. And thereby the timeframe can be anything [sometimes beyond 1yr]. But, usually this stage should be over by 5 months max. However, a point to be noted is that we can also be called for an Interview [at this stage], due to this reason.

-Culmination: Only upon security clearance we receive the PPR.
-Timeframe: Around 2-6 months. Avg. 3 months. [With new system, sometimes PPR is clubbed with Meds]
-eCAS: Still 'In Process', but 'Med Results Recd.' inside. (Only for MI2 & MI3)
