Likely 3-5 months.....

Hi!

I am new here and need some vital info to proceed further.

We ( Wife and me ) applied in Nov 2011. Received first acceptance mail in Feb 2012 and call for Medical and PCC and some other documents on Aug 22nd 2012. Deadline to submit all docs and Medicals : 22nd Oct 2012.

My questions are:

1.Can a PCC for India be arranged from Dubai ( Indian Embassy ) and if yes what is the process like? ( My india visit was a waste as the process would take a long time )
2. Since we have to submit the docs and PCC to London office before 22nd Oct and my new visa in Dubai will likely be done only by Oct 1st week. Will they consider giving some extra time to send all the documents at once? Should we tell them in writing to give us some more time?

Help is much appreciated.'

Thanks.

Hi Buddy,

1. Yes I think so, have read somewhere else. For sure some of our fellow Indian Co-applicants will shed more light on the process on how it looks like.
2. You can send the PCCs later to LVO but send them he receipt copy and expected release of the same, to show proof that you have indeed applied for the PCCs. - as I have done too before.

Hope some of the insights would help.

1.you can apply for indian PCC by indian consulate in dubai.
need to get the dubai PCC first, then go to bls office(one is in mankool road) take the form, go to indian consalate with form and original passport. they will write something on the form.
come back to bls submit that form with the fee. and you will received your PCC in 5 working day.
you need 5- 6 photo also.
for dubai PCC i went to port rashid police HQ its open 24 hour.
document required passport, visa copy and emiraes id card.
2 i dont have much idea.

@ Vibhav,

Although you have enough time till 22nd Oct. You should not think of deferring it or asking for an extension (can delay your case by 3-4 months with a new BFD Date)

Your action plan should be: (First of all--get at least a dozen photos)

1) Get your Medical Appointment. Photos,Fees, Original PP is required here on your test date. Have your Test done.
in between your Med appointment and Test Date, you should

2) Apply for Dubai PCC-Take all docs-typed forms in Arabic English-Original Passport and Original Emirates ID-to Port Rashid or Muraqqabat Police station- the former is quickest. One at Mulla Plaza consumes more time. The UAE PCC will be ready in 2 working days.

3) Apply for your Indian PCC (u Cannot get it done at the consulate-they outsourced it to BLS Intl; etc- so Al Khaleej Building next to Jumbo and near Deira City Centre {IInd FLOOR, 202, Dubai National Insurance Building, NEAR FLORA CREEK HOTEL ,Plot No. 315 (129-134)Port Saeed, DEIRA, DUBAI.} is your best bet! Again, Original PP, Photos, Fees and then they deliver it to your doorstep- by couriering it; better check the latest modus operandi-( YOU CAN CONTACT BLS AT their CENTRALISED CALL CENTER FOR UAE : 04-2555530.
Timings 08.00 AM to 08.00 PM - Saturday to Thursday. TOKEN will be issued 8.00AM - 12.00 Noon and 1.00 PM - 6.30PM.)

When you are done, post your feedback for others to benefit, :)

Thank you Best Pal for the valuable advice.

My problem is :

1. Awaiting UAE Residency Visa from new employer hence cant get anything done as far as the PCC is concerned although I will get my wifes PCC done immediately.

2. Since my residency visa stamping will be done by Oct first week and only then can i apply for PCC through BLS it will definitely be beyond 22nd Oct that Ill get my PCC since my passport is issued from India and they say they take 40 days for PIA other than Dubai.

I have already scheduled my medicals on the 27th and it should be done. Will then send the required documents apart from the PCC and request them time till I can receive the PCC.

Was wondering would a letter to the London office along with other requested docs suffice?

Thanks a lot Best Pal.

@ vibbsfadn/Vibhav,

See, you should get the Meds and both PCCS done before your Visa change. You should be through before 30th Sept as I see.

Then let your Visa change be done at a leisure pace.

If you wait for the Visa change and then go for the Pccs and Meds -then ???---Cant say more! PM me with your contcat nos and I wl talk to you. Your wish!. WHO TOLD YOU 40 DAYS?? THAT IS BASELESS! THEIR SITE DOES SAY THAT BUT THAT IS THE MAXIMUM!. MOREOVER I HAD AFRIEND WHO RENEWED HIS PP (EARLIER MADE FROM BANGALORE) IN 5 DAYS!

I CONFIRMED THIS NOW FROM BLS-EVEN IF UR PP IS ISSUED IN INDIA-BLS WILL REQUIRE ONLY 5 DAYS FOR THE PCC +PP TO BE DELIVERED TO U. BUT THEY WILL KEEP THE PP WITH THEM FOR THOSE 5 DAYS!

See this link : http://www.blsindiavisa-uae.com/passport/passport%20forms/CHECKLIST_2.4.pdf

(PCC Services is only available between 9am to 11.30pm and in the afternoon between 2.30pm and
3.00pm on consulate working days)

Quick question:

I am landing and planning to settle in Toronto. (NOTE: Port of entry on COPR is Calgary, AB).

Can I provide a Toronto address (my uncle's) for PR Card or does it need to be a Calgary address, as given on COPR?

We have booked our flights to Toronto for 31st Oct already!

Quick feedback from experienced members will be appreciated.

Thanks,

MIK

Dear MIK77

Yes, you can provide your uncle's address.

indian PCC doesnt takes 40 days. may be in a rare case if they have any record of your police verification in there record.
i remember when i have submit my passport in indian consulate they check some record in there computer. on base of that they write something on the form.
and it took 5 days to get PCC.

Dear Anil Rawat Bhai,

Is your passport issued in UAE or India?
I hear that if its issued in Dubai then it takes only 5 days else more!

Hi Best Pal,

Well I am already without a visa. I am currently in Dubai on a tourist visa.
Planning to go to Port Rashid Police Station and see if I can apply for a PCC based on my previous record as the last time I got it when I had my company visa.

Hope for the best.

I also read about the BLS process, thanks for the info on the same.

My medicals and my wifes PCC ( UAE and India ) should be done in time but only my case seems a little complicated for now.

Regards.
