The best way to make an appeal, if IO is having an issue with your reference / experience letter such as mismatch of JD, is to bring new letter with more details and then contact VO. Hopefully this will help as one of my friend had done it a month ago and it worked.
Hi MASunny,
I got PM, many thanks for the help.

Jadedgeek,

I guess u might be referring to Nova scotia..They calculate points based on your claims, but its the VO who after assessing your documentation decides whether you can prove that you are eligible for those points ie points for education, work experience etc...

Rlex

Yep - I am refering to the same... As i understand correctly, people in CIC verifies whatever ones has put into the forms submitted. As part of initial assement, VO might be cross checking the claims with supporting document provided to see if it satisfies the claims made. If this is right then why people getting rejections from the VO instead of CIO for the reasons that they have been given less points for education etc etc.. which i think might be calculated at CIO level

I am bit lazy in checking my e-status.. but after reading your post, I immediately went to CIC website and found the same update in my status also.

wish us gud luck!! :)

Update
Couple of minutes ago, I had checked my e-case and found the following:
//Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 27, 2012.//

I noticed that this is the same date written by hand on the letter I got recently from London VO. I hope this is a good move in my file.

Please pray for us :)

Welcome to the group of "recently-changed-to-in-process-status". Be positive... and keep faith in GOD.

Hi all,

Please advice what does the below mean, does this mean it can be approved or refused ?

We received your application for permanent residence on April 1, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on June 9, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.

We transferred your application to the London England office on June 15, 2010. The London England office may contact you.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 26, 2012.

Yes! i guess so... Not sure what is the process at VO level. They may call our companies to verify our job position. I think they have the right to verify anything which is given as evidence of claims made.

Seniors can advise better based on the experiences.

so this could go both ways correct? either approve or reject?

will they start the verification process now?

I am currently looking for a job since the company fell apart due to recession...so if they call they will be no one there..what do i do

Sir,

CIO-NS just verifies that ur apps [vis-a-vis the applied NOC], it's supporting docs, fees etc. r correct & complete; and that the cap is not reached. They do not 'assess' ur file... the VO does.

NDVO normally does verification locally, means calling the employer etc. whereas LVO has contracted this verification process. This info is not confirmed but available on net.

Hi Ommona:
please ltell me more about your recent letter
thanx

Hi,

Yesterday I have got a letter from my consultant which confirms that VO has rejected my application.

The reason for my application rejection is that the job responsibilities which I have mentioned under the NOC 1111 are not matching.

Regards,

Sunny

I am so sorry bro to hear that. As per your consultant, is there any possibility to appeal and re-open your application?

Hi,
It was sent 2 or 3 weeks ago, dated on 27th March and stated that I am eligible for further review but I need to wait 6-12 months and need not to contact them during the waiting period to ask about any update.

As per my consultant we can appeal but it will cost me more than 7,000 Canadian Dollars.

She said, "God is like our parents, they always know what is good for us, thus they say "NO" sometimes when we ask them for certain things".
Hope you got another good and success alternatives ahead :)
