Dear Capt Qorax / Bijuv / and other seniors,

I have a very difficult or unique situation (i guess), This is regarding medicals

- Medical request along with RPRF/PCC/Update forms received in Feb '2012
- Completed medicals on 05-03-2012, as per DMP medicals delivered to London VO on 13-03-2012
- RPRF DD/PCC/Update forms/Medical receipt were send and received at London VO on 19-03-2012

Now problem is, again we have received medical request (dated 29-03-2012) now, and this is only medical request normal forms no other details.

We had raised the query to VO and has asked the consultant to take it up on urgent basis.

Please suggest is there something gone wrong a miss by VO, it is quite a panic for us. What to do?

Regards

Hi Guys,

I had long sleep (from Canada Immigration) and woke up now to knew my status.

Sorry for not being in touch for long time as was tied in other issues as well. I have also changed the job and waiting for visa to be stamped to send the updated status to CHC.

We have a tentative plan to land in Toronto in August most probably, but we haven't finalized the dates yet. What are your plans?

Well, for the time being, I look forward to see you all in the next meeting for DXB fellows. So far, I haven't had a chance to attend any of the meetings.

Hi Seniors,

After submitting medical, how long does it take to receive a request for passport from VO (on average)

I wanted to bring your attention to a news release from Minister Kenney's office yesterday:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/releases/2012/2012-04-17.asp

It basically suggests that the new guidelines for FSW applicants about to be released would have a new point system, with emphasis on younger applicants, with high education credentials, and very high reading and writing skills in English. They must also be in NOCs that are in great demand, meaning they can get a job immediately...

Here is my concern, the news release states:

"change would allow new regulations, once approved, to apply retrospectively to people who have already submitted an application. "

This would mean that the new point system and its requirements would apply to all those who have submitted applications in previous years as well, in effect thousands of applications will be denied because they would not qualify. Only the few, with the above mentioned qualifications, will get through.

This is very dangerous indeed!

hi

first check whether the meds forms are for re-medical , if its same - u can send back the meds form u received 2nd time and put a covering letter explaining tht you have send all docs and meds with dates/details send and received by them.

nothing to worry dear :D

Alhamdulillah, I have received my PPs with the immigrant visas and COPRs today. Aramex delivered them to me this morning.

The issuance date for the visas is 3rd April and they are valid up until 14th January 2013. It took us three years to reach here and I cannot think of any day when we didn't pray to get our visas. The feeling of joy, happiness, and excitement cannot be described in words.

Journey doesn't end here as I understand there is a lot to deal with in future when it comes to settlement in Canada, but where there is a will there is a way. Insha'Allah Allah will help all of us in fulfilling our dreams.

Thank you all my dear forum members.
Congratulations! Ja77. Have a wonderful life ahead in Canada.
