One more thing, guys out there, I still find difficulty catching up with regarding the acronyms you use! I have been through a list of acronyms presented by mikeramma but still I come across many which I really do not understand. So, if anyone can supply a thorough list of ALL abbreviations used in this forum, I would be grateful.

Hi all y'all,
First of all, I wld like to present my great respect and gratitude to all members of this forum, namely Captain Qorax, biju, mycan and quite many others I fail to recall their nicknames for the valuable guidance and tolerence they show out here. Thanx to y' all. My consultant has just forwarded my meds to me today. I intend to to drive a thousand km to Muscat to do the meds with my family. I was wondering if there are any precaustions I have to consider, before doing them as I will be driving a long way. Mycan has suggested to me that I should keep drinking water hours before I am asked to do the urine tests and his perspective was quite convincing. Are there any other measures I should take regading these bloody test? My daughter is a 'type I' diabete, would this be of any defectiveness to her application?
Kindly, suggest any helpful thoughts concerning these meds. Thanks in advance. Once again, Thank you guys for what you are doing.
Hey Captain Qorax, I would really like to have a PM with you but apparently this doesn't work as I am a newbie. I probably need to accentuate my interactions to reach the status of a member.
hi abuelyas first of all congratulation...i can give you some suggestions which may help you,all though u had been in touch with our senior qorex, whose every word is very precise.
1.drink alot water.
2 avoid coloured foods and drinks.
3.if you have ever kidney stones, drink barley water(non alcoholic) early in the mornig.
4.at the day of medical, before sample collection of urine atleast pass urine one time.
5.while collecting urine sample, dont collect first blow of urine, collect in the middle
you will see your urine colour will remain more transparent.
i hope you dont have any chronic disease otherwise you can tell about that and we will try to give you some proper guidelines about that.
about your daughhter, type 1 genetic diabetes is not leading her to medical failure.the only thing you will need is a report from a diabetese specialist which will show that her diabetes is controlled one, which can be obtained on request from any clinic.you have to attach the report with her medical tests.
wish you all the best...

Thank you sterileinjection for your valuable suggestions. Actually none of my family memebers suffers any serious illness. I just thought of discussing the matter with you folks to see if there are any measures one undertakes to make the process a success. As for my daughter, she already has this report ( a recent one) from her doc.So, is that it all? Once again thanks buddy.

Dear Qorax, Biju and other seniors,
I am a silent reader of this forum, I am a pre june 2010 applicant received 2nd AOR in April 2010. I've been in process since April 2011 but inside is RBVO, last week one line added that they have reviewed my documents and started processing on feb 10, 2012. I have ordered caips notes last jan 19, 2012 and have received it today by email. My husband is not a resident of UAE nor has he stayed in the UAE for 6 months but in the CAIPS notes one of the docs they would ask me is PC of my husband in the UAE and UAE resident visa copy. Appreciate your advice on how i am going do about it, shall i email London visa office and explain this to them or any suggestions... Please...thanks a lot.

Regards,

If you have mentioned correctly in you application then you should not be having any issue.
You can clarify VO in case they request for it.
Till they ask silence is advised.

Thanks Soby,
Yes I have filled the application right. Is it possible that they might have overlooked this? Shall I wait for there letter before I action on this? Would UAE police give a police clearance if the person was in UAE for only 2 months and on visit visa? Please advice. Thanks a lot

Qorax, Biju, Soby and other seniors, I would really appreciate and would be very grateful for your advice.

I'll update shortly my timelines, Im just learning how to do about :)

Again thanks a lot,

I was planning to leave for Toronto after the end of the school year in June. Due to the general economic situation, there is a chance that I might have to move before my planned date. I really do not mind moving a few months earlier than planned, however I am concerned regarding my children's education. My son is in 8th grade and daughter is in 6th.

My question to seniors is: If I move in the middle of the school year can my children be accomodated in Toronto schools in the middle of the school year?

Hello Frens,

There is good news I got my medicals today on 23rd Feb, 2012.

Good Luck

Regards,
Auditor

Congrats Audiror.
Hope you get on the other steps smoothly.

i suggest you to renew the passport after the Meds. If your 2nd AOR date is after sep 2010, then i feel you can renew and send the new passport copies for update.
(Coz i did the same before- just b4 Meds sent the new PP copies) :D

Biju
Dear Biju,

Does this indicate that those cases whose 2nd AOR date is after sep 2010 are going to face considerable delays? Any timeframe suggested?

Hey guys out there,
I have just realised that acyually I have chosen to " live " in Ottawa. In fact, when applying, I didn't know where exactly I should stay. Is it possible that I change to Toronto? I have e-mailed my consultant to enquire whether it is possible to change my city of landing to Toronto, but he hasn't replied yet. I guess both cities are in the same province, so I think I do have the choice to land in both cities. Is that right? Please advise if I am right.
Thanx

If he has stayed for just two months in UAE then PCC is not required
You can clarify the VO in case they ask
