Hi
Looking out for some help regarding my application status!
My husband and I started the application process while in India with CHC New Delhi, but we had to shift to UAE in between(february 2012) as my husband got a job offer here! And by the time, we updated them on the change of address,we received our medicals request along with passport submission by 23 March 2012.So, our representative mentioned that they had forwarded the request to the concerned CHC authorities and to wait for a response from their end
.Then we received the medical forms in our UAE address on 06 May 2012 with no deadline for submission. We send the medicals within 2 weeks and will be sending the Indian PCC as well as UAE PCC by next week to CHC.However , will the CHC request us for the passport now or should we just simply submit it at the earliest date. We are in a fix because we are not in a position to stay away from work for more than a month. So we just want to make sure that , we would not have to wait for more than a month for the stamping as rules in UAE are really stringent and cannot afford an endless waiting time for the stamping..
So kindly advise if we should wait for the passport request or just hand over the passport at an earlier date to CHC ND!
kindly help.

Hi Guys,

I have been following this forum for long but this is my first post.
Just like all of you in this topic, I have applied to CIO from Dubai and My visa office is London. Now I need to leave UAE for another country (perhaps Kenya/Uzbekistan). I'd like to know what will happen to my application after that ? will they change my Visa Office? (I prefer it unchanged as it might further complicate my application)

Thanks in advance

Applied June 5th 2010
Got the six month wait letter in Mid-April...

apply to CID....mean applied for PCC....?

You got wait letter then how you are applying for PCC earlier...?

Not sure what PCC is. As I said I am new to the forum. But I applied through FSW pre-june 2010 rule (fast-Track).
I hope this answers your question. My main concern is whether leaving UAE for another country will affect my application in any way ?!

Your Visa office will not be changed. It will not affect your application.

Dear All – especially those who have landed already in MONTREAL -,

I need your help, the time of landing is approaching (26-Aug-2012), We have been looking online for Studio or Apartment since almost 2 weeks, all are expensive, they are asking for minimum of CAD 2000 / Month.

Please send me some links or contacts if you know any downtown decent independent places where we can live until we settle!
Waiting for your assistance.

Hi Ma'am,

CONGRATS!

1. I'm not sure about the others, but I did mine from 'Dubai London Clinic, Jumeirah' and found they were fantastic. I'm not sure they still exist. However, had heard poor ratings for 'Azaan Bin Breik' from many.

2. Yes, u need to obtain a prior appointment' with the clinics before u visit them for ur meds.

All the best!

Please be advised that some nationalities need a transit visa to the UK if you are going on BA. For example, Egyptians will need a visa even if they remain in the arrival lounge of the airport without passing through immigration control and departing on another flight from the same airport
"From 3rd April 2012 Egyptian nationals will no longer benefit from the transit without visa arrangements when transiting through the UK"

Thanks for the info buddy

Hope ur having a great time :D

@Pooja-ji,

First of all HEARTIEST CONGRATULATIONS ON UR MR! :)

Self n Fmly had done our Meds there. 8)

U wl need to book an appointment on phone (4-5 days or less in advance )

@ Friends,

By the grace of Almighty, we (the family) did our Medicals yesterday in Dubai's health bay- Had taken the appointment a week earlier-but generally 3-4 days are required.
We arrived 20 minutes earlier than the stipulated time - and Prior to yesterday- we were all drinking a lot of water (like a Fish!)

The staff was really very friendly. We had these handy--3 Photos, Original Passports, Original Med form that was recd from CHC.

The following tests were conducted:-

1. Blood Pressure Check
2. Urine Test
3. Blood Test
4. Eye Vision (with glasses if we use)
5. Height and Weight
6. General Check by the Physician (Ear/Throat/Neck/Back/Ankles/Breathing Check with Stethoscope) etc.
7. Questions were asked-Whether suffering from any ailment/any surgery done/any history of Hypertension/Diabetes) etc.

We were through in 1+ hour but because the main Doctor (who is also a Pediatrician) was extremely busy (with Mothers and infants), we were held up for an extra 2 + hours --so total it took 3.5 hours!. Must say were relieved after the visit.

The cost was 695/- AED each Adult with 120/- AED as courier charge (which can be paid by Cash/Credit Card). The processing will be done in 5-7 days and will be forwarded through T N T.

Hope the above information is helpful to relevant members.

Best Wishes,

Bestpal

Hi friends,
I have 3 questions -
1) After landing in Vancouver I will be there for 3 weeks. How much time will it take for me to get the Health Insurance?
2) If I apply for G2 license and get it,then if I stay outside the country for 6 months, and come back after that will I get the G license ?
3) Since I am in Vancouver, going across the border to Seattle will be easy after the PR card?Do I still need US VIsa if I have PR Card to go across to Seattle?
