Do you live in Dubai? The original documents were sent by CHC London via normal post on your PO Box? or delivered to you by some courier service? Thanks.smikri said:Dear Quorax,
Today I received some original documents and a letter acknowledging that my application for permanent residence was found to be elgible for further processing. However the LVO anticipates to be able advise me of the next processing steps in 6 to 12 months time.
Could you explain in which stage am I in? Have the points been calculated and is the next step a request for medical examination?
Many thanks in advance for your reply.
Sincerely,
Smikri

If I'm not wrong you are MI1 or MI2 applicant. Means you sent your application sometimes in 2009 or 2010. This is the standard 6-12 months wait letter that LVO has sent to some of the MI1 and 2 applicants. You have passed the points. You will probably receive medicals if all clear in the background check. But you have to wait as mentioned in your letter.smikri said:Dear Quorax,

Hi,ja77 said:Hi Captain, DXB fellows,
Just a couple of quick ones;
1. Is this fine if one of the DD's we have at the time of landing is in my wife's name? As she also has some funds and wants to take in the form of DD so that she can open up a bank account in Canada for herself. Will a DD in her name be accepted as a proof of funds at the time of landing?
2. I will go to Al-Fardan Exchange at Khalid Bin Waleed road in Bur Dubai to get the DD's. Do you know of someone in that branch with whom I can get in contact in order to get some good rate?
Thanks.
