a new question, my husband lost his licence because of drinking and driving ??? ??? ??? :'( :'( :'( here in germany. he paid the fine, he wasn´t allowed to drive for over one year. :-[ :-[ :-[
in august he goes back to canada and he will need a driving licence. does he have to redo the licence or will they ask the authoroties here in germany if he is done with his time of not driving.

does anybody have a clue?

Thanks in advance, for information on that.... :-[ :-[ :-[

Hi,

I have a Japanese Driving License. Do i have to give G1 test again and also pass the road test in Ontario?? I have a experience of 6 years of driving in Japan. Soon i am upgrading my license so i can also drive truck and bus. Would it be easier to get it converted in Canada ?

Cheers,

Cheers,

1. In Ontario you can swap a Japanese license for a full provincial license if you have 2 years driving experience. You require proof and a translation see: http://www.drivetest.ca/en/license/OutOfCountryDrivers.aspx
2. Truck and Bus licenses are not exchangable.

thanks alot, should be the same for alberta?

Sucks if you're Australian... I've been driving for 15 years and had to do a written AND driving test in order to get my Quebec license! Biggest scam ever.

Pretty funny though - I was so nervous doing the tests again! haha..
