Hi Sandyboy388,

I just received my PR card now...Hope you get yours today as well. It is 83 days today after landing. PR card was mailed out 76 days after landing.

For others still waiting, I'll advise you give 2 weeks after your PR processing time.

coshx!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Guess what!?!

I got mine too...

Cheers!
Sandy

Well, I will advise you to give CIC a week after the 75 days for them to send the Card to you. Then, you wait atleast 5 days to receive the Card. I can't say anything about the processing time as long as this PAFSO strike is ongoing. Now it's 75 days, who knows what it will be next week?

Take heart. you will soon get your card.

coshx!

Thanks Coshx for the reply.

And congrats both of you coshx and Sandyboy for your PR card. exactly 82 days for you two.

Hope I get mine before the usuall processing time.. :-\

Wish you good luck in your future endeavour.

Hello everyone!

I landed July 30th, 2013 as a new PR. At that time waiting processing time was 69 days. Anyhow, when I checked my application status online a while ago, it says:

Application received Aug 16th

Started processing Aug 16th.

However, it seems like no one has ever mentioned this here... in this thread. But I have read earlier that you can't see the status of your card online- just land and wait basically. Is anyone here has the same case as mine?

Hi,

There is no Status on ecas for PR card. you probably have to wait without any information/status till the current processing is reached and then call CIC.

Ok... When are you supposed to get your card? What was the processing time when you landed? It keeps on increasing.

I landed on 20July. at that time processing time was 68 days only but currently it is 73 days. I think we have to follow the current processing time regardless of what so ever it was when we landed. fingers crossed. :'(

Guys, I landed on September 15th on North Portal Border. Does anyone know how long would it take to get PR Card ? I am bit worried as I have most likely plans to visit my home country by last week of November. Is there anyway we can request CIC to process PR Card quickly for valid reason ?

Is anyone familiar with Travel document procedure ?

Thank you,

DK

DK, I think it has already been discussed with you on this thread or some other thread. Its 73 days right now, so calculate as Sep 15 + exact 73 days and your card will start from Novascotia. Isn't it a Magic !!!

Chandigarh Canadian consulate takes 4-6 weeks to get u a travel document.

Thanks Peter,

Are you sure Chandigarh office takes 4-6 weeks for TD ? I called the VFS guys last week and they said 10-15 days...even I was amazed.. :o

Even if they take 4-6 weeks do you know if they will keep the passport for 4-6 weeks or will they return it before issuing the TD. ?

thanks for your reply.

Cheers!

"I called them last week and they said 4-6 weeks and also it all depends on how much Backlog is ". I am not sure if they keep the Passport or not. Are you from Chandigarh?

Seniors, i recently landed at Edmonton. Immigration officer got signs of ours and his on COPRs. He also signed and gave one copy of B4 and B4A forms.
There is one confusion, he didnt get any signs for PR Cards, Does it a separate form or it is automatic by signing COPRs. I forgot to ask him about PR Cards application. Now i am not sure that my PR cards application is done or not? Seniors, can you guide please?

Your first initial PR card is already applied. You dont have to worry about it. when you landed they had already started processing your PR card. Current processing time is 73 calendar days. Even I am also waiting eagerly for my PR card, have some vacations coming in next couple weeks.

Cheers.!

WellWisher, Have you tried calling CIC? I think they should dispatch your card anytime now or early next week. What say?

Hi Peter1,

Ya i called them yesterday and they said they haven't send the PR card yet and have no expected date when they will be sending. But what I think yes they should be sending it by this friday or max by Tuesday next week. Fingers crossed. I am leaving next weekend so hopefully I should receive it before I leave. If not then can I ask my friend to send it to my India address. Do you think it will be fine mailing the PR card across borders. ? Have you heard/seen anyone sending it this way successfully.? I dont want to be involved in TD application as that takes too long than my Vacation. :-\

Thanks for the suggestion.

Cheers.!

Hi WellWisher,
Yes, going from Canada to India is not a problem. And you can ask your friend to post it through a reliable courier like FEDEX/DHL. I Know my friend who went to India and his friends shipped his card back home. Just carry the copy of COPR along just in case Indian immigration people ask for .

But I am sure you will get it before you fly from here !!!
