Ok, I just called the call center to check the status of my PR card. I was told it was mailed on Tuesday and it's a regular post. So I'm guessing it would take anywhere between 5-10 days to receive it.

Congrats Sandy Boy !!! Now you are a Full PR of Canada !!! :)

I called them too & I was told it was sent on Sept 10. That's why I asked the question as to when it will be delivered so I can keep watch on it.

It is so annoying that everyone keeps asking to see your PR card & you can't provide it. Canadapost website says 'it takes 4 business days to deliver letter mail excluding the day it's been sent'. I guess that's where the 5 day estimate emanates from. I hope I get as soon as possible.

cheers!

3 weeks? I though they now return passports back in one week. Did you email them already? if yes, what was their response?

Hi Prabz,
3 weeks is a long time for PR card to arrive from Sydney, NS. Where are you in Canada?

Guys, My Return Passport tracker activated yesterday and Passport is out for delivery today to the destination.

I am planning to visit India sometime in November or December this year. Should I do my landing before I leave or is it advisable to do it upon my return ? I am confused before PR Card processing time is nearly more than 2 months and I understand I can't leave Canada till I get it.

Since, I am living in Saskatchewan, I am planning to do my landing procedure on North Portal location. Can somebody from Regina or Saskatchewan area please advise or share experience on what is the Transportation way to reach to North Portal from Regina, What are the timings to do landing at border and What documents should I carry with me ?

Do I need an appointment for landing ?

Thank you guys once again !

DK84, It all depends how much you are eager for your Landing process. 1. If you can delay your India travel till December- nothing like that as its always better to do your Landing and finish your process here.
2. You can wait till you return from India. And if you have valid travel doc, like Work Permit/Student visa/Visitor visa, you can travel out of Canada and come back and land.

My Preference would be #1. As its a different story going to India relaxed and with PR in Hand.

On the contrary, I would go with option 2 since you have to go outside the country to do the landing anyway, and knowing that the PR Card processing time is not consistent. With option 2, you can go to India for vacation and complete the landing without having to constantly worry about when you'd get the card and keep making changes to your travel plans. That's just me.. :)
