Does VO verifies whether duties matches NOC with HRSDC? Reason why I am asking this question is I emailed HRSDC with my job duties and they came up with different NOC's which I think doesn't matches my job duties. I am sure NOC I used matches my Duties, and also meets educational requirement. Should I be worried?

For what I know the VOs pull up your NOC you mentioned in your application on the HRSDC website and compare the
duties mentioned on the HRSDC website with the duties mentioned in your reference letter.

HRSDC replied to my enquiry with a completely different NOC to my actual job - as in, none of the duties matched at all. They don't keep a log of what they've suggested and they're not always accurate.

The VOs will assess your actual job duties with the NOC you provide; they won't check and see what HRSDC suggested for you. HRSDC even had a disclaimer after their e-mail to me that emphasised that they might be wrong, and that it's the applicant who is in the best position to decide which NOC is most relevant.

I applied with the one that matched my duties, not the one that HRSDC suggested, and I'm currently waiting on my CoPR.

What you did was correct. There were some applicants in this forum before, who even enclosed similar letter you received from HRSDC (to support their NOC number selection) and were refused because a VO was not satisfied with their number. So be cool.

may me silly question but what is VO??? :(

VO - Visa Officer (your case officer for CEC app)

By the way, no question is silly, unless not asked. So, no worries.

Yes a july applicant got refused because hrsdc code and
Job experience did not match :(

Thats a different story. What I was asking was if they get in touch with HRSDC to see whether Job duty matches NOC. If your NOC doesn't matches job duty then obviously its going to be a problem.
