I came in canada on 1st 30 july 2012.
I have to file for citizenship after three years or four years.

You'll most likely need four years of residency in Canada to qualify. However it all depends on when the new law officially comes into place.

Hi Khalid,

The new law is not in place yet but speculation is rife for it to come into affect sometime mid June or Early July again all we have is speculation so far. With the current laws you need to accrue 1095 days I believe you landed as a PR on 30th June 2012 so you need to get 2 full years as a PR which you have done, I would suggest you to enter your details in the Residence calculator online and see if you qualify.
