I am a US citizen and He is Canadian. I will be moving to Canada. Will it make any different where we get the marriage license?

Im Canadian and my wife is Indonesian, our marriage certificate is in both English and Indonesian language
We got ours in Indonesia and I was told (by the government) its OK

I guess as long as Certificate is legal and issued by authorities it should be ok

I think you could get married any where u want.. as long as you get it legalized after that..

I have relatives who are both Canadians and were married in Mexico. Its not considered legal in Canada. Surprise-surprise.

I am an American citizen and I married a beautiful Canadian woman and we chose to get married in Canada just to avoid any issues regarding the legality of our marriage.

according to canadian regulations for marriage, as long as your marriage in that country is legal that canada will recognise it.

this might help:

To add on to that though, I believe there is a stipulation that states that the marriage has to not break any Canadian marriage laws (ex: no polygamy). At least, I keep hearing that.
