Does IQAS recognize Degree from Sikkim Manipal University

I have also completed my degree from Delhi and Pune,not Sikkim.

well , I have sent my assesment to IQAS which has recently not assessed some of the degrees ,as seen above, bcoz they were obtained through study centres.

I have come across a few cases too that were denied assessment by IQAS including mine reason stating that if the study centre is outside of Sikkim, then they are not approved. All these people have done different degrees at diff times so much not able to drill down to main cause. The High court order about SMU does say it doesn't have territorial jurisdiction beyond the state of Sikkim and hence these degrees are not being assessed. However the same degrees (same situation) have been assessed in the past. If someone has more info on it, please share.

it doesnt have any option to mention if the center is out of sikkim or any . Many of ppl here in this group have got evaluated from IQAS for MBA DE from SMU as masters.

Yes I am aware and reading these positive stories made me apply at IQAS. They sent me an email while processing the file asking to provide information about the study centre I enrolled in. Though all exams and marksheets are issued directly by SMU, having enrolled at an centre outside SMU is leading to negative assessments. I spoke to someone recently who faced similar issue. Now IQAS is asking and confirming about the learning centre and other things/details while processing SMU degrees. I have never heard of such things before applying .

I dont think people whoever done DE can do it exactly on SMU direct ones. Then why do they want such things which is not good, I think seniors who got recently need to help in this. Is yours MBA DE from SMU ? from which center its done ?

The process of evaluation of MCA(Master's of Computer Application) distance mode (Sikkim Manipal University)
- 30th Apr sent documents to SMU (only sent Master's degree).
- 30th May received the 1st email from IQAS (they have received my document but with a catch, they wrote in the email that you forgot to attach the passport photocopy with your documents, in order to process your file please send your passport photocopy,)
- passport photocopy missing a note in the first email ( text was just end of the email somehow I didn't read that and keep that email as it is for a month)
- on 30th June I was going through the email and I re-read each line then I realize my mistake. (Please read every email carefully).
- on 2nd June send Passport photocopy to IQAS.
- on 9th August they sent me the 2nd confirmation email that they have received my all the documents including passport photocopy (sigh of relief)
- Today (11th October) received this 3rd email that my MCA degree is equivalent to Canadian Master's degree.

Finally, it's here, happy and contented

Did they ask you to specify "which campus/location you completed your Master of Business Administration from Sikkim Manipal University".

I've done MCA DE from SMU (2009-2012) from Mohali centre.

Yes, if anyone knows more about this please share.

I was asked to provide details of study centre while they were processing my file. I heard a similar case just yesterday and then couple more. Seems like a new thing

oh my god :( , so it seems nowadays its not possible for IQAS also to evaluate SMU one.

Have you received your final ECA or is it still in processing?

I have not received the final ECA yet as they are asking if they should proceed assessment of bachelor degree only or they can refund(partial). I'm yet to email my final response. I'm in conversation with them regularly asking for a more stronger reason as DE means anyone can do it outside of Sikkim and it doesn't make sense and moreover the hight court order pertaining to this issue states what they are saying but it after around 2015 or later. Degrees before that should be good to go but they are denying assessment now.
