Does IQAS recognize Degree from Sikkim Manipal University

hi All!!
Very urgent!!
I have sent my application along with my request for record form and ECA checklist and all required documents to SMU and had requested them to mail it along with the transcripts(as suggested by some). My concern is I have mentioned SMU -DE on the Application for my MBA degree which i had pursued during 2015-2017. I have also sent along the court orders and UGC notifications deeming my degree valid by DEC and UGC for the duration. Would that be suffucient..Or should I call up SMU and ask them not to mail the application form..and send a fresh copy myself with just Sikkim Manipal University mentioned on it(minus the Distance education ).

Does period of 2011 to 2013 have problem to get evaluated from SMU DE MBA from IQAS ?
Distance education would anyhow be mentioned in your Degree certificate. In the Application Form they just ask for the Institutions name. Where the entry should be SMU small or Full Form preferably.. I think that should be OK. Incase they have query they will comeback to you.. No need to worry.

- 30th Apr sent documents to SMU (only sent Master's degree).
- 30th May received the 1st email from IQAS (they have received my document but with a catch, they wrote in the email that you forgot to attach the passport photocopy with your documents, in order to process your file please send your passport photocopy,)
- passport photocopy missing a note in the first email ( text was just end of the email somehow I didn't read that and keep that email as it is for a month)
- on 30th June I was going through the email and I re-read each line then I realize my mistake. (Please read every email carefully).
- on 2nd June send Passport photocopy to IQAS.
- on 9th August they sent me the 2nd confirmation email that they have received my all the documents including passport photocopy (sigh of relief)
- Today (11th October) received this 3rd email that my MCA degree is equivalent to Canadian Master's degree.
Finally, it's here, happy and contented

Hi, may I know where was your learning centre and if it has to be in Sikkim itself?
I completed my degree in 2012 from SMU distance education and got reply from IQAS that degree done at study centres outside of Sikkim are not accepted.

I'm in the same boat with u. After seeing so many positive reviews I too expected to get a successful evaluation but mine was rejected as I had done my MBA outside India. I got it done with an institute in UAE, however my transcripts were sent by SMU directly to IQAS
This is the reply I received yesterday:
"
Thank you for submitting your educational documents for evaluation to the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).
Unfortunately, we are unable to complete an assessment of your Master of Business Administration degree because the Sikkim Manipal University, Campus of the UAE, does not meet the IQAS recognition criteria.
Namely, IQAS policy does not allow for the accepting of a degree from the Sikkim Manipal University that had been obtained outside of the main campus and outside of the country (Gangtok, Sikkim, India)."

Bad! In what year was your degree completed? If it's 2011-2012 session it won't help to even try ICAS.
Mine was from 2014 - 2016. I'm very upset now as it affects my CRS score very badly

HI.. reading this is so disappointing..I obtained my MBA from SMUDE for the year 2015feb to 2017 jan. I checked that SMU was recogonized during this period by UGC..but i am still worried ..as i obtained it from a study centre outside of sikkim..But according to the court order of sikkim all degrees outside sikkim have also been made recognized. What do u guys think?
